Small Zoo but worth a visit

We would highly recommend the Roosevelt Park Zoo as a Minot attraction. It is small zoo, but has a diverse collection of animals, including penguins, giraffes, Japanese Serows (revered goats), lions, tigers, bears, apes, monkeys, kangaroos to name a few. The grounds were well maintained and overall a great family experience. The gift shop had many things of interest. It... More

Nice clean small zoo. Looks like they take good care of the animals. Great if you have small children. I enjoyed it by myself, they even have a train there. There is a park and a pool nearby as well. Price is reasonable and they do offer deal days and events during the year.

My family LOVES going to the zoo it's always a fun time seeing all the different animals! We don't live in Minot but we make the 2 hour drive at least 3 times a year!

The animals looked sick. They didn't look like they had been taken care of, the camels' hair look matted, the reindeer looked like he was about to die. The overall health of those animals couldn't have been good.

I realize the zoo is still recovering from the flood, but I was very concerned with the small size of the large cat cages. And the monkeys were in a building that we could only stand at the door and look in and could only see the ones on the end, and the bird avairy smelled terrible. I'm hoping these... More

Real good way to kill about an hour and a half. The Bears were awesome and very active. A lot of other animals were sleepy and not active maybe do to heat. A lot of neat animals you rarely seen. Only disappointment was missing penguins again this year. Would go again next year. If in Minot and you have kids... More

Minot's Roosevelt Park Zoo is a small gem, nestled inside the larger Roosevelt Park. The Zoo straddles the Souris River, and part of the Zoo is accessible by a footbridge crossing the river. They have done significant reconstruction since the Souris River flooded several years ago. Old trees shade the walkways. The highlights include a new penguin pool, giraffe feeding,... More

Well kept zoo. Still in the process of flood clean up but such a wonderful place to visit with kids. It is a smaller zoo but worth seeing because there really isn't that much to do in the Minot Area. I recommend this zoo and its a great excuse to get outside and spend time with family! :)

Roosevelt Park Zoo is a nice place to take the family. It's a nice walk and quite enjoyable to see all the animals. They were doing some construction last time I was there. I will visit again this year and update my review at that time.
