Mid size resort midway along the final spur of the Maurienne valley. Formed from the two ancient villages of Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard the skiing spreads along the north facing side of the valley and includes the linked small resort of Termignon. The character is very French as is (predominantly) the clientele. There is varied skiing above and below the tree... More

Val Cenis is a relatively small ski resort that consist of three villages. If you are a beginner you might be happy with staying in just one of the areas. If you are more experienced you definitely would want to go beyond your home arrea. What reality sucks about Val Cenis is that the areas aren't well connected by slopes... More

A really nice resort with a good mix of ski runs and good value for money. We had a really good week here despite the poor snow season. Only things I would say is that I was surprised how busy it was at times and we were there on a quiet week! At times the slopes seemed really crowded, which... More

Stayed with family and friends at the Hotel le Val Cenis in Feb 2009. This was a fabulous hotel, all inclusive and right next to the piste in lanslebourg. Food was even great for my fussy children, who ate pasta and pizza every day (lunch and dinner) and for the adults there were plain meats or fish as well as... More

Not too turistic, not too expensive but with good quality of slopes and accomodation. Very good value for money!

We spent a week in Val Cenis in March 2008. The resort is smaller than somewhere like Val d'Isere but benefits from being small by having slopes that are not too busy! There are a number of very wide blues which are great for both beginners and intermediates. There is 2 bubble lifts and a good mix of chair lifts... More

We are in Val Cenis right now for a family ski holiday. We are here in what is rumored to be the busiest week of the year as the children are out of school for their half-term breaks. For the busiest week of the year, it's not super busy. No queues for the lifts, no crowds on the pistes, just... More

Val Cenis is a relatively small quiet resort near the Italian border, but it is absolutely perfect for families and skiers with mixed abilities. By French stanards, there isn't a lot of skiing, only 80km of piste, but with skiing up to 2800m, it is relatively snowsure, and there is an interesting mix of runs. Experts can try their skills...
