Our Visitors Center, the "Grain Elevator", located at exit 348 of Interstate 94 has bushels of information, maps, brochures as well as a gift shop. It is open year round so stop in and talk to our Visitor Center Travel Ambassadors. We provide free wifi, popcorn, and coffee for visitors...And the bathrooms are spick-and-span! The Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center is also home to the woodchipper from the movie 'FARGO.' Stop by and have your photo taken with the infamous woodchipper! We provide the (fake) leg and bomber hats to complete the photo op. Be sure to see the Celebrity Walk of Fame outside our visitors center with star signatures and hand & foot prints in cement.

Had to stop when we heard the wood chipper from the movie "Fargo" was housed here in the lovely, well done visitor's center. We had our picture taken at the chipper, shoving a leg into it. Wierd , but fun. Lots of great info regarding the area as well.

I went to Fargo because North Dakota was the only state I had never been to. I was thrilled when I stopped by the Visitors Center, and met the most helpful young man named Anders. When I mentioned it was my 50th state, he told me so many people came there saying it was their 50 state, that they started... More

A great quick stop for travel info for Fargo and surrounding areas. Wished we had made a stop here at the beginning of our trip! Staff were pleasant. As everyone has mentioned - you get to take a photo with the woodchipper and there's a mini walk of fame outside which is worth a quick stroll. No need to budget... More

The staff was very friendly and got out the hats for the token wood chipper photo. We were able to get a ton of information on the area along with coupons. It was clean with free coffee and merchandise available for purchase (loved the Fargo- North of Normal gear).

This is not a large place--doesn't take a lot of time to see it, but I wanted to get my "Saved the Best for Last" certificate for seeing all 50 states, with ND being the last one. Yes, there's a certificate for that, and a T-shirt too! Of course, you have to take a photo with the woodchopper--it IS Fargo!... More

Three years ago I missed the wood chipper so that my wife could visit Laura Ingles Wilder's homes south of Fargo, Now it was my turn. Face it, I love the movie Fargo. The characters, plot, and filming are great. The wood chipper scene is just black humor at its best. So thank you Fargo for your preservation and promotion... More

It didn't look like much, but I was pleasantly surprised by what the visitor's center has to offer - and we didn't even go inside! We were past business hours so we entertained ourselves with the large bison artwork statue, concrete walk of fame (LOTS of cool names & handprints), and woodchipper photo-op. Even the sign welcoming you in has... More

You can have your picture taken with the wood chipper from Fargo movie. There is also the walk of fame - hand/foot prints of famous people in concrete. The people there were a good source of information also.

First of all, go to the Visitors Center. They have all the brochures of things to do in Fargo as well as other cities in North Dakota. You can also purchase souvenirs and post cards. However, the best and most fun was getting a picture of us next to the original wood chipper in the movie, "Fargo". The staff was... More
