Our Visitors Center, the "Grain Elevator", located at exit 348 of Interstate 94 has bushels of information, maps, brochures as well as a gift shop. It is open year round so stop in and talk to our Visitor Center Travel Ambassadors. We provide free wifi, popcorn, and coffee for visitors...And the bathrooms are spick-and-span! The Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center is also home to the woodchipper from the movie 'FARGO.' Stop by and have your photo taken with the infamous woodchipper! We provide the (fake) leg and bomber hats to complete the photo op. Be sure to see the Celebrity Walk of Fame outside our visitors center with star signatures and hand & foot prints in cement.

Unique building with everything you need to inform you on the F-M area. A must stop if you are new in the area. It is right along I 94 but to find it you have to snake back to the east. The grounds are for the Bison also.

Before you even enter the building, you feel welcomed by the grounds. Even Auntie the multi-colored buffalo statue catches your eye immediately. Upon entering the buildings, you are greeted by smiles, questions (where are you from, what brought you to Fargo, etc) and answers to your questions. We were given plenty of suggestions for things to do around the area... More

How can you pass up the chance to hang out with the Fargo wood chipper? It is the pinnacle of tourism kitch, but you have to. My inlaws live here, so they were of course just humoring me, but you can't come through here and just skip by such an iconic movie prop on display. The multicolor bison out front... More

What a gem. We were told to stop at the visitor center in Fargo. Outside they have the walk of fame that includes a wood chipper. Watch the movie if you don't know what I'm talking about. Inside they have "the" wood chipper (with a leg sticking out) and other movie memorabilia. They also have Fargo items (North of Normal)... More

Great tourist office with tons of brochures for local attractions and for the Plains areas in general. Tons of maps and brochures. Few other places like this can boast genuine movie memorabilia, and they'll even lend you a hat for your photo op. Outside is a Mann's Chinese Theatre-style Walk of Fame of famous people who have visited the area.

We wanted to visit the area for the day so we stopped here first. Quite an impressive building for a welcome center it almost resembles a museum. There's a walk of fame outside where famous people put their handprints on the sidewalk. Some of them including Metallica, Aerosmith, and Garth Brooks. Plenty of photo ops. Plus the staff are very... We recently traveled to North Dakota specifically because it was the only one of the 50 states my husband had never visited. We didn't expect to like Fargo very much but it was a wonderful place. I wish we had stayed longer. Our first stop was at the Visitor's Center. He was thrilled at the royal welcome he received. He... More

I had no idea there was a Save the Best for Last Club. My mother mentioned that North Dakota was her 50th state while the gentleman behind the counter was giving me road directions. Well, the only thing missing was a brass band! This was the highlight of my Mom's trip and well worth the drive!
