Our Visitors Center, the "Grain Elevator", located at exit 348 of Interstate 94 has bushels of information, maps, brochures as well as a gift shop. It is open year round so stop in and talk to our Visitor Center Travel Ambassadors. We provide free wifi, popcorn, and coffee for visitors...And the bathrooms are spick-and-span! The Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center is also home to the woodchipper from the movie 'FARGO.' Stop by and have your photo taken with the infamous woodchipper! We provide the (fake) leg and bomber hats to complete the photo op. Be sure to see the Celebrity Walk of Fame outside our visitors center with star signatures and hand & foot prints in cement.

The only thing to see here is the wood chipper from the movie otherwise, it's a bunch of tourist brochures. Outside there is a painted buffalo and a collection of poorly maintained cement handprints/signatures. A waste of a large building and prime real estate.

I came in with a few questions and they were so helpful. They had info and maps and most importantly to me, an opinion. I had a mixed group and had an idea for dinner and was swayed in a different direction. Take advantage of them

This is a nice little rest stop/visitor center. They hold the Wood Chipper from the movie Fargo inside. The information attendant came right over when we arrived and told us facts from the movie and took a picture for us. You can also pick up all the booklets and coupon books you need for your visit to North Dakota and... More

Do check out the Fargo-Moorhead Visitor’s Center to see the original wood chipper from the movie “Fargo.” It’s nice to see that it’s where it belongs and not in some museum in California. The staff are very friendly and informative as well. Ask them to tell you the story behind how the wood chipper ended up in their visitor’s center... More

The visitor's center is really informative of North Dskota3 as a whole. They show crops, history, and other fun itrmd. Three differientiators of this visitor's center were: the factoids about Fargo, the movie Fargo's script and reading area, and tube photo spot where you can document your visit to the state. The even acknowledge that North Dakota may be your... More

Heck, yeah, dat had to be the highlight of my trip to Fargo! Being a huge fan of the movie, to see the actual wood chipper - autographed by the Coen brothers, too! - and have my picture taken while wearing a North Plains hat was worth the trip. There was a copy of the script that I enjoyed reading... More

This is a fun and informative stopover. The employees are very nice and helpful. There are plenty of brochures for travelers. The actual wood chipper from the movie Fargo is there. You can get your picture made by it with a hat like in the movie.

It is fairly amusing because they have the wood chipper from the movie Fargo. A movie that isn't actually set in Fargo. Stop by and take a picture of a movie prop. Just like Hollywood.
