Heck, yeah, dat had to be the highlight of my trip to Fargo! Being a huge fan of the movie, to see the actual wood chipper - autographed by the Coen brothers, too! - and have my picture taken while wearing a North Plains hat was worth the trip. There was a copy of the script that I enjoyed reading... More

This is a fun and informative stopover. The employees are very nice and helpful. There are plenty of brochures for travelers. The actual wood chipper from the movie Fargo is there. You can get your picture made by it with a hat like in the movie.

It is fairly amusing because they have the wood chipper from the movie Fargo. A movie that isn't actually set in Fargo. Stop by and take a picture of a movie prop. Just like Hollywood.

We stopped in the center to get some information regarding the local area and were greeted by the young gentleman working in the office. Unfortunately, we did not get his name, but he represented the area vistor center very well. He offered information on the area and it was quite interesting to see the wood chipper....if you are in the... More

What a great place to take a rest stop! The "chipper" from the movie Fargo is here!! If that weren't enough, when my wife mentioned to one of the staff that North Dakota was here fiftieth state, she was presented with a "Welcome to the Club--You saved the best for Last" certificate. Along with the certificate, she got a refrigerator... More

We stopped in to check out the wood chipper and enjoyed the experience even more than we thought we would! The staff was fantastic and gave the kids coloring books to enjoy while we looked around. There is a ton of info and they helped us find everything we were looking for - including the best donut shop in the... More

We visited on Friday, September 12, 2014. The building is shaped like a grain elevator. But inside they have a display with THE original wood chipper from the movie, "Fargo"! (Don't be fooled by the one outside, that is not the original.) The genuine item is autographed in black marker by the Coen brothers. There are also original screen plays... More

Not much to see there except for the Fargo movie wood chipper prop display. If you are a fan of the movie ya gotta go and take your picture there. Also, it's free. They'll even loan you the classic winter hats for a photo. If you are visiting the area go and have some fun.

Not much in the visitor center other than a couple of display cases with Fargo movie memorabilia. It was fun to walk around and see the hand and foot prints. Too bad that some of the new concrete markers are cracked so bad you can't make out what it is.

The travel ambassador on shift when I brought my in-laws in to see the Woodchipper was great. She offered my father-in-law a hat to wear and took a pic of us with the Woodchipper. Great attitude and helpful demeanor. Very helpful area guide that is packed of useful coupons.
