Now that I officially can say I've been in all 50 states ( N. Dakota was my final one), I can also say this is the friendliest visitors center in the USA! Warm, kind, patient staff. A nice surprise awaited me when the staff heard it was my 50th state, but I won't give it away. Wood chipper and original... More

Lots of good information, shopping, and a scene from the movie "Fargo" make a stop at the Fargo Visitors Centera must. Most of all, the Walk of Fame surrounding the interesting old grainery buidling gives you a look at all the celebrities that have visited there from Chuch Yeager, Radar O'Reilly to Bert & Ernie. Definitely worth a stop on... More

Love the link to the "Fargo"cult of which we are fans. This visitor center was like a coffee shop atmosphere. Small group tables, library like set up of brochures and information with staff on side just like at library. Most visitor centers are sterile. Leave it to Fargo to be different. Tons of info and very helpful staff. And despite... More

Rare to be able to eulogise about outstanding customer service, but here Donna merits such praise. Friendly, informative and enthusiastic about her job she made our visit a delight. Presenting us with the certificate to record the completion of our 50th State was an added surprise and bonus. The whole wood chipper scene from The film Fargo added to an... More

We stopped in after another pleasant visit to the Red River Zoo. The woodchipper is great and there is a ton of great travel information for the local community as well as ND and MN. There is also free coffee and popcorn for the guests. The person at the desk asks if you need anything, and goes back to their... More

We stopped here to see the woodchipper and take some pictures. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. We appreciated the free popcorn and a quiet spot to relax before heading back out on the road.

I called just to get a map of Fargo, but whow so much to see and the staff were so helpful and could not do enough for me, there was free popcorn, free coffee and free Wi-Fi which allowed me to catch up on e-mails and talk to back home in the UK. The restrooms were spotless. The other attractions... More

Visited Fargo because North Dakota was the last of the 50 states to visit. Stopped here to see the woodchipper from the movie. While there, I casually mentioned to the staff that we were in Fargo to make all 50 states. They broke out the celebration--they give you a fridge magnet and a signed certificate noting "your 50th state", take... More
