Grandchildren loved it!

We shared a wonderful couple of hours here with our grandchildren. They enjoyed the closeness of the animals.

It's not a huge zoo, so don't expect a ton of animals. However, this is a great zoo for the size. The animals are well cared for and the staff and volunteers are EXCELLENT at answering questions and giving presentations. We've learned something new every time we've visited! They're upgrading the farm area and adding new enclosures and exhibits as... More

We like zoos and have been to a lot of them, mostly large ones. This zoo is easily covered in a couple of hours if you don't stop to read too much but it's well worth the visit because they have animals here that we have never seen anywhere else. Some that we had seen before, like the Gray Wolf,... More

I would bring younger children here. Any older children would get bored fast. Older people who can still walk on there own would enjoy the uncrowded walkways.

Although the Red River Zoo is small compared to larger city zoos, it has done a great job of being relevant. A quick read of the information lets you know that there are very rare species to see and learn about. You may not ever see some of these animals in another zoo. It is very family friendly, and continues... More

The RR Zoo has had a lot of additions to exhibits over the last few years - it's much better than it ever has been!

This little enclave in Fargo is one you don't expect to compete with a big city zoo, and for that it lives up to expectations. The grounds on the whole are clean and the animals well tended. You can see interesting animals which thrive in Fargo's climate. I do not think the eagle cage was humane, however, because that magnificent... More

If you're looking for a fun time with your kids, Don't miss out going to the zoo. Located in a nice area of town, This small town Zoo is not too bad. If you're looking for a Zoo with more animals go to Wahpeton. But overall for a small zoo this is a nice zoo. Very clean and upkept.

This is not a very large zoo but it is a very well laid out zoo. Most zoos I've been to, you have to backtrack a lot to see everything. I love the way this one is designed to just stay on the path and you will end up at the next area without backtracking. It is a very relaxing... More
