My wife an I visited the Red River Zoo in the morning right after opening at 10am. July's in Fargo are quite warm, so heading over at opening gives you a better chance at seeing more animals, being more active. Made it through in under an hour and as members, we got in at no additional cost! The biggest hidden... More

Have been many times. Always something new. Weekends only in the winter. The smaller walking area is nice for young children

The Zoo has wonderful indoor and outdoor exhibits. We always enjoy spending a few hours at the zoo. The zoo also has special activities/days for something special. My son, who is 10 years old, enjoys going to these activities or just spending the afternoon at the zoo. We love to watch when the animals or fed, and even buying food... More

I traveled here with my 2 girls ages 6 and 3. It was the perfect zoo for them. We went on the carousel, fed the farm animals (bring quarters for the food machines), and loved the river otters. If you have a coin, the otters will follow it on the pool side of the exhibit. Also a cute gift shop... More

We felt the signage should be a little larger. Saw the first sign as we were coming into town, but got a little lost looking for it. There appeared to be a lot of improvements going on, BUT All in all it was great!! My granddaughter really enjoyed it. It was warm the day we were there but the route... More

Thank you for your review! We agree that our directional signage is not as good as it could be. We are working to improve that and will hopefully have new signage soon. Thank you again! More

The zoo was tiny and there were no exotic animals. And they charged big city prices to get in. If you wanna see some chickens and some peacocks wandering around then go check it out. Otherwise, save your eight bucks.

I am sorry that you did not see the whole zoo. We do have chickens and farm animals in our Children's Zoo farm, but it is just a small part of the Red River Zoo. We have 89 species of exotic animals including some of the world's rarest cold climate species. Two of our species are so rare that you... More

I was thoroughly impressed by the Red River Zoo. It is small, but really the perfect size to take kids to. It takes 1-2 hours to go through, depending on how much you stop to look. It's very clean and you can tell they are constantly improving their exhibits. There's a fun petting zoo and the carousel is a lot... More

This past August was my first visit to the Red River Zoo. It is small in comparison to other zoos I have been to however, it was a nice size and very well laid out. My daughter loved merry-go-round and the petting zoo. Make sure to bring quarters as they have some feeding stations where you can purchase pellets and... More
