We have just spent Sunday at this centre. Absolutely fantastic centre with excellently exhibitions, interesting people that spoke passionately about there role at the centre. Needed longer than five hours we spent. Highly recommend

This is part of the state capital complex and easy to find and parking is very close to the door. The staff is helpful and things are laid out very well. I would definitely stop in if you are in Bismarck. My only criticism is that I wish there were more locally relevant and locally made items in the gift... More

We stopped in to see what the Heritage Center had and we were not disappointed! We had so much fun! We were treated so nice and Debbie from the gift shop is an absolute joy to talk to! I highly recommend you stop in.

The newly expanded museum has something for everyone. Their dinosaur display is impressive. There are hands-on displays for kids. There is a terrific gift shop as well as a small café.

Awesome place to visit. Dinosaurs to history of the Missouri River, early settlers, geology, archeology...something for everyone. Could spend hours in there to see it all.

I was employed at the Heritage center, and also worked there as a volunteer for many years I had the opportunity to go on several dinosaur digs, and many of the historical trips offered to the employees and volunteers. The building just went through a several million dollar renovation, and I will say is a jewel in North Dakota's crown.... More

My family lives here in town, and we have been there multiple times. Every time we stop, I find something I missed. There is so much to see, especially with the new galleries. I truly love this place. The history just flows out of it. The displays are amazing! The only negative thing I could even think to say would... More

Newly expanded, beautifully done. Worth a days visit. A wonderful and full history of North Dakota from the dinosaur time to Indian time to the oil patch. Bring the kids they will love it. Special events for them. Best of all it is FREE.

The ND Heritage Center, which is effectively the state museum, recently completed a renovation and significant expansion. If you saw it before the expansion, you will not recognize it now. Considerably larger, with four different exhibition halls, it is most definitely worth a stop by anyone visiting or passing through Bismarck. The people behind the expansion should feel very proud...
