Very informative, easy for anyone to go through. Lots of Dakota history, on different topics, not just Lewis and Clark... There were lots of hands on stuff for the kids. They have a great gift shop, we have been back just for the gift shop. Lots of made in North Dakota items and far prices. The best part is that... More

Really fun and a good way to learn more about North Dakota for free. I personally like all the native American stuff from the arrowheads to teepee.

The Heritage Center is one of my family's favorite places to visit on rainy days. They recently updated the museum and it is fantastic. There is plenty of education if that's what you are looking for but there is also plenty of fun for the kids. My 4 year old son loves the tractor simulator. The dinosaur exhibit is really... More

This museum is the best bang for your buck (especially since it's free!) It is full of fun interactive displays and very informative while still being highly entertaining. My neices and nephew absolutely love it here and beg to go to the museum. The gift shop is full of very original and high quality items. Overall I definitely recommend going... More

This is a really nice place, and worth a visit if you love history, or have little kids. There were some good exhibits, but I did find it a bit boring - sorry, I know most people love it!! Truly if you have little kids, they will love the dinosaurs, and it is a brand new facility, so it is... More

I take my kids whenever it's too hot to do something outside or we have nothing to do. So much to look at and it's free! They have a café in case you get hungry and a gift shop if you're interested. We just go for an hour or two and call it a day.
