wait until 2014 and this place shoul dbe pretty cool. they are adding on tons of stuff. As it is it is kind of boring unless you are a kid or really into boring history. Still it is worth while. Call ahead an dmake sure they are open now though.

A great exhibit showcasing the states' long history from the pre-historic age through the dinosaur exhibits, Indians to the settlers who came. It's interesting to see how they lived in those days in harder conditions compared to what we enjoy now.

If you want to understand what makes North Dakota great and a special place in all the world, be sure to visit the North Dakota Heritage Center. Be sure to come back in 2014 when the Smithsonian of the Prairie opens!

This Center is by far worth the visit if you want to know about the Heritage of ND. I have been to this many times, in the past years and they keep improving and changing the facility lay out to keep you coming back,,,,well worth the tax payers monies...

We really enjoyed the Heritage Center and felt it had some of the finest exhibits we have seen in any museum near by. We did not find one part that we didn't like.

What a nice museum! It is conveniently located adjacent to the capitol so that you can experience both of them. I was born and raised in N.D. and still learned several new and interesting facts about my home state during this visit. It only takes a couple of hours to go through it and is well worth the stop!

There are several galleries showcasing millions of years of North Dakota history -- geology, dinosaurs, native flora and fauna, Native American Indians, settlers, and the depression era. Fascinating! There are special temporary exhibits and a nice gift shop. Admission is free.

Very well done with fascinating exhibits. Enjoyed the layout with prehistoric through modern day times. Great Native American sections. Loved it!!
