The last day of my 2 week vacations in the Dakotas was spent at the Heritage Center thanks to a mid-afternoon flight. In talking to a staff member it sounds like many visitors are now making the trek to this center thanks to TripAdvisor and I was no different. All I have to say is this is a huge center... More

We really enjoyed our time at the Heritage Center. It has been updated recently and contains many interesting exhibits. We will definitely be back to look at the things we missed.

The recently expanded and renovated ND Heritage Center is a must see if you are near North Dakota's Capitol city, Bismarck. All if the display galleries are informative and throughly enjoyable! You can spend an hour or a day.

We have gone a few times this summer with different out of town guests. Best part is that's it's free so it makes a nice place to spend a few hours. It has recently been remodeled and it's really nice now! Every time we have gone the staff have been so kind and helpful! My kids love the tractor that... More

nice range of natural history, native history, US history. The fossils/dinosaurs are probably the coolest, or the Native American artifacts. The architecture of the building and exterior sculptures are also worth a look.

Loved the place when I was there years ago. Just took my son and it looks amazing after the upgrades they've done.

We live in Bismarck and our whole family loves to go to the Heritage Center. There's always something new to learn and the exhibits are very well put together. We love to look at the dinosaurs and fossils that they have on display. Pretty sure my kids would live there if I let them! It's a free museum that accepts... More

I absolutely love this place. It looks absolutely amazing. Staff was super helpful and the volunteers are a lot of fun. I love how a lot of things are interactive.

I took my niece and my 89y/o mother along with me and all of us found this to be a fun and learning experience. We finally ran out of energy before we had time to finish and each of us is looking forward to a return visit to see more. It is well displayed, lighting in large rooms is good,... More

The visit was well worth the stop. The Heritage Center takes you on a well planned tour of the history of North Dakota. Starting with Geology/paleontology exhibits in the first area and going through modern day. My only regret is not having more than 2 hours to spend at the Center. Well done North Dakota!
