We arrived before 9:30 on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, hoping to park in public access #2. By the time we arrived, it was full and there was a couple of cars waiting to park. We drove to #3, and again a car was waiting for a spot in a full lot. We drove back about a mile and... More

Do NOT come to this beach during a popular time! I came during memorial day weekend and drove around for 1.5 hours looking for a parking spot, before finally giving up and going to Carolina Beach. Never even saw the beach.

Beach was not extremely crowded and very clean. My son collects sea shells and there were plenty on the beach.

This beach is beautiful. You can easily google marker numbers that have bathrooms and changing areas. The pier was cool to look at. The waves were awesome. My family kept wanting to go back each day.

Where to start at this terrible place! First of all be prepared that there is no grass just powered dirt that gets in very last inch of your travel trailer. The sites are so small that I cannot even call them a campsite and it looks like to me that at one point when there where better owners that the... More

I loved this beach, it was not too crowded and we enjoyed playing in the ocean for hours. The drawback are the parking meters. They are everywhere. Parking is $2.50 per hour, so it is best to pay someone $15 per day for an all day parking spot if you plan on staying more than half a day here.

The beach was nice quiet and not crowded. It was located down at the end of the island. Plenty of great places to eat and quiet time on the sand.

The beach goes for a long distance and is nice and wide. During this week in August it was not crowded. The water was warm and was shallow for quite a ways out. There are pay parking lots close by. Bring an umbrella, cooler, lots of sunscreen and spend the day!

My favourite beach (it even beats out beaches in hawaii!). Clean, spacious, and everyone is respectful and kind hearted. It was a great place to watch the sunrise, take surf lessons, and to lounge around for the day. We found the infamous mailbox near Access#1 and spent some time writing in the notebook that is kept there. Overall, it was... More
