Great NC Beach

Wrightsville can get crowded in the busy summer months, but if you go off-season it is a real getaway. Great place to to take the family or nice couples trip.

Quiet, beautiful, peaceful, place. We haven't even stayed here "in-season," and adore it. I imagine there are things to do other than relax on the beach, but it was so beautiful, we were content.

The beach is clean and not too crowded. The weather is not the best in March but we had some good days. The water was cold but we were able to walk on the beach and enjoy the ocean view.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary the Blockade Runner Beach Resort has been completely refurbished. The staff is friendly and environment is inviting.

Well it's a nice beach but still like Kure & Carolina beach area better!!! Your parking machines don't work right?? Also Should be ashamed of yourselves charging to walk on a pier (Johnnie Mercer's Pier ) REALLY!! It's a public pier.. Plus people running the place rude & un professional.. Plus no attractions there for you all to be charging... More

Beach is beautiful, a bit more wide open than I like. College students everywhere (Neighboring UNCW). Uppity town and not real friendly. We played our luck at the pier for fishing. No one fishing!! Nice new pier but didn't feel warm and inviting. New concrete pier with pretty light fixtures and rude folks that told us the neighboring pier (Carolina... More

I visited Wrightsville Beach on a Sunday in March. You would have thought it was the middle of July! I was not expecting it to be crowded, but it was. Be prepared to pay $2.50 an hour to park on the street OR you can park for free at the park and walk the 2-3 miles like I did. There... More

This has always been one of my favorite beaches. If you know the place, it certainly does not need to be promoted.

My first visit for business and can't wait to come back with my wife. This definitely rivals Charleston and Isle of Palms. Need to explore more but the beach is beautiful and lots of parking.

Stopped by one of fishing piers this morning, just for a quick look at the beach. A local police officer was in his car, making sure we all paid for parking. Minimum amount time for that lot was 1 hr at $2.50 an hour. Big price for less than a 10 min visit. It is March after all and most... More
