Lots of parking (of course it is April so not high season), very clean, and well patrolled. Little ice cream stand on corner (across from Wings) had great ice cream.

This is a great place to visit. It doesn't feel like most NC beaches in that it is very manicured and taken care of even in the off season. It's a close drive from Wilmington which is great. It's a step up from neighboring Carolina Beach in every way.

I lived and worked in the local area and spent a lot of time at Wrightsville. The off season is mellow and a great place to just relax and meet the locals, then when schools out and the weather gets hot, this town is a hopping, busy, sometimes crazy beach town - it's pretty awesome if that's the scene you... Not overcrowded and clean beaches! Enjoyed flying kites and taking walks around the beach and inland marshes.

We stayed at a condo overlooking the beach. The sound of the waves was continual and the fresh air made us sleep well. It was too cool for any activities except walking along the beach. We enjoyed the bird activity and watching the surfers, too!

This beach is perfect for someone that desires a less crowded beach and a great place for the family and children. You can really relax here. There are several great places for shopping and dinner. The beach is absolutely beautiful.

In the peak summer times, parking can be a nightmare (and we locals think it's expensive). I like the family atmosphere & the ability to find shade (under the piers). Surfing is done by a rotating "zone" - look up the area with the surf shops. Fishing is best at one of the two ends- my personal favorite is the... More

Wrightsville can get crowded in the busy summer months, but if you go off-season it is a real getaway. Great place to to take the family or nice couples trip.

Quiet, beautiful, peaceful, place. We haven't even stayed here "in-season," and adore it. I imagine there are things to do other than relax on the beach, but it was so beautiful, we were content.
