Wrightsville beach is a nice little town, mostly residential, with a nice beach and a serious traffic and parking problem. I rank it Very Good because both Fort Fisher beach and Carolina Beach (just down the road) are excellent, and Kure Beach, both as a town, the home of three of the best restaurants on the NC coast, and a... When we go to a beach, we insist on quietness and privacy but did not really care for the outer banks. Wrightsville is private, quiet and clean and lacks the "carnival atmostphere" of some of the more popular beaches. If you love walking as we do, this place is excellent; the beach as well as the island itself is so... More

My husband and I have traveled every beach in NC, except Wrightsville. But our Marine son insisted that we visit this beach on our next trip to NC. So for our annual anniversary trip we decided to take the Ferry from Southport over to Fort Fisher, and drive up the coast to Wrightsville. Well all I can say is Wow!... More

My wife and I went to Wrightsville Beach (off season) on a recommendation from our daughter. We stay at a great hotel right on the beach. No matter if we were taking long walks along the beach or enjoying the view from our balcony the beach was always very clean. Even the streets were clean. The people of Wrightsville Beach... More

Drove around the beach looking at homes, stopped for lunch at The Oceanic, and checked out The Loop. Wish we could have spent more time on the beach.

Went for the Flotilla. Had a ball. I prefer the beach during the offseason, and I was not disappointed. Friendly people, perfect weather, the beach was spotless, thoroughly enjoyed our trip, will definitely return.

Its been too long since I have been to the beach. This was a wonderful trip to go. Not to far, water still warm, and not too busy.

Calm, peaceful, charming, friendly are all adjective to describe this small peace of heaven. There is so much to do especially if you like history. Wilmington is so close by. It is the best of both worlds, the ocean and the intercoastal waterways coupled with Wilmington and it's history. Chill and do nothing but relax on the beautiful beaches or... More

The water is turquoise and the beach is white, you feel like your on a Caribbean beach. Great place for families and couples.

This was a great beach--very clean, nice sand. Tons of shells--little hard on the feet because of all the broken shells. Only problem was the parking. $2.50 an hour and not a ton of parking available. Not a ton of people there so nice and quiet.
