Its been too long since I have been to the beach. This was a wonderful trip to go. Not to far, water still warm, and not too busy.

Calm, peaceful, charming, friendly are all adjective to describe this small peace of heaven. There is so much to do especially if you like history. Wilmington is so close by. It is the best of both worlds, the ocean and the intercoastal waterways coupled with Wilmington and it's history. Chill and do nothing but relax on the beautiful beaches or... More

The water is turquoise and the beach is white, you feel like your on a Caribbean beach. Great place for families and couples.

This was a great beach--very clean, nice sand. Tons of shells--little hard on the feet because of all the broken shells. Only problem was the parking. $2.50 an hour and not a ton of parking available. Not a ton of people there so nice and quiet.

Parking is problematic, 2.50 hour or 15.00 day. But beach access is plentiful. Beaches are really clean and nice. Not for bare feet because of all the broken shells. Lots of surfers. Sudden drop off may be issue for small children.

Avoid Wrightsville Beach!!!! Go to Topsail or Carolina Beaches instead. In addition to high parking charges the city of Wrightsville beach has imposed a litany of rules and regulations backed up by significant fines. My wife and I simply trying to enjoy an afternoon on the beach, not bothering anyone were cited a $100 fine by beach roaming officials looking... More

What a beautiful beach. Enjoyed a September visit to the beach for a conference. Weather was beautiful and the beach was gorgeous. Wide beaches that were not crowded.

Perhaps it is just me but the tide was up, and I had to wade through 10 feet of sharp shells to get to the water to bob my head 6 inches above the tide. So at the particular time we were there, the beach was not that a lot of fun. The sand is rough, very rocky, filled with... More

$15 for a day pass to park at the beach. We were there on a Thursday afternoon. The beach was gorgeous, clean and very family friendly.

Great Sunday after a long business trip: I've been there with a collegue in a sunny day of October. Not much people, nice temperature, nice experiences. A guy was fishing and he catched a big cat fish (or somthing similar...). It was a nice adventure to watch to
