Where to start at this terrible place! First of all be prepared that there is no grass just powered dirt that gets in very last inch of your travel trailer. The sites are so small that I cannot even call them a campsite and it looks like to me that at one point when there where better owners that the... More

I loved this beach, it was not too crowded and we enjoyed playing in the ocean for hours. The drawback are the parking meters. They are everywhere. Parking is $2.50 per hour, so it is best to pay someone $15 per day for an all day parking spot if you plan on staying more than half a day here.

The beach was nice quiet and not crowded. It was located down at the end of the island. Plenty of great places to eat and quiet time on the sand.

The beach goes for a long distance and is nice and wide. During this week in August it was not crowded. The water was warm and was shallow for quite a ways out. There are pay parking lots close by. Bring an umbrella, cooler, lots of sunscreen and spend the day!

My favourite beach (it even beats out beaches in hawaii!). Clean, spacious, and everyone is respectful and kind hearted. It was a great place to watch the sunrise, take surf lessons, and to lounge around for the day. We found the infamous mailbox near Access#1 and spent some time writing in the notebook that is kept there. Overall, it was... More

Great location if you are planning a family getaway but either rent a condo or one of the many cottages right on the beach. Rent a bike and pedal everywhere , no need to use the car, this place gets very crowded on the weekends with very little and very expensive parking so is better to stay there. For those... More

We had a great time at the Wrightsville Beach. The water was very clean and a beautiful blue green color that was just appetizing to jump into. It was a great location next to Johnnie Mercers Pier. The pier itself is made of concrete and looks amazing and a great spot to do a little fishing. Water was a perfect... More

I can honestly say we checked 3 different spots on Wrightsville Beach so we got the full effect. We picked 3 different spots on 3 different days and found that Access Point 2 was our favorite! It was calm enough for our son to play in the surf and perfect for his first surf lesson as well. We loved it... More

This beach was perfect to relax for a week in August. It's gorgeous and our littles were able to play in the warm, shallow water with some wave action. We stayed on the ocean block for the week so we rarely paid for parking -- we left the car in the driveway and walked everywhere. I loved the walking! The... More
