Not bad for a family with small (<10) kids. Not a tremendous amount to do, particularly for older kids, but on average ok. They charge kids over 1 the same amount as older ones which is the same price as adults. So, for a family of 5, it will cost $37.50 and there just isn't enough there to justify this... More

I've taken my grandchildren to the Children's Museum several times. I use to think it was really nice and a great place to take children. The last few times we've been it just looks old, run-down and dirty. We haven't been in over a year because I thought it needed a thorough cleaning. We went to the Children's Museum in... More

A fantastic way to spend a morning or an entire day. We visited with my grandchildren, 2 and 3 years of age. although our children are quite young I believe the museum would be enjoyed by children up to age 8. During our 3 hour visit we explored 3 different areas of the museum but certainly did not experience the... More

My niece was in town from Seattle with her 4 year old daughter. Dreary winter day, and I wondered what we could do to occupy and entertain a young child. I thought of the Children's Museum, which I had never been to, but had read good things about. Well it was better than we could have imagined! The only children... More

All 3 of my children have loved the Winston Salem Children's Museum. It's a wonderful place to spend a morning or afternoon with kids 6 and under. The museum is divided into differently themed "exhibits" that allow kids to get hands-on and play. Two of the exhibits are sponsored by Krispy Kreme and Food Lion. In the Food Lion exhibit,... More

I visited the museum with my special needs class (grades K-3). The exhibits really appealed to my students and kept them actively engaged during our 2 hour visit!

We popped in to check out the children's museum on a whim with our twelve year old. We are originally from Indianapolis, the city with the largest children's museum in the world and we wanted to see how it compared. Much to our surprise although the size of the museum did not compare, we were overwhelmed with the kindness and... More

Had an awesome time! Very great place for kids to go around and do hands on activities! Only thing was paying $21 for 3 people and one was a 16 month old in a stroller that didn't do anything. The price was a ok, but I saw no reason in paying for a child that age that was not participating.

My kids are nearly aging out of this but still have fun here. We usually take a friend or two and they spend most of the time outside in the net swing or upstairs in the houses/puppet area. They really can spend 2 hours easily here so make sure you check the closing time when you go since they close... More
