More af a history tour than a scary ghost story session

We had a great time and our guide was very knowledgeable and likable. It was a little cold the night we went so standing outside for 2 hours might not be your cup of tea. They... read more

This was a great walking tour of the area. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Tour is an hour and a half and about a mile and a half up and down hills.

My husband and I were looking forward to this - we love a good ghost walk. Unfortunately, over the 90 minute tour we maybe heard 5 ghost stories. Our guide was wearing a kilt (sorry I've forgotten his name), so I had high hopes that he would be entertaining. Well, he dragged the stories out so long we got bored.... More

Went with two teenagers and it was a great diversion for the evening. Our guide was fun and knowledgable. The teens had fun as did the parents. Take the later tour if possible. It was good fun after dark. I would do this again if I ever found myself in the area at the right time. Five stars.

I took the tour with Kitty, who was dressed like the black-veiled widow in Edward Gorey's drawings for "Mystery!" She was an excellent storyteller and guide as we walked around downtown Wilmington. She explained the historical figures connected to each location, as well as the supernatural events and mysterious circumstances of each narrative. The tour inspired me to explore other... More

First of all, we can't say enough about our tour guide, John Henry Scott. He combined warmth, humor and drama with a ghostly educational tour of the old downtown Wilmington, NC area. What a treat! Mr. Scott has a background as a professional character actor, musician and radio host. He looks at first glance to be either an old salt... More

My daughter's and I have enjoyed several ghost walks in different cities. This was one of the best! Our tour guide Michael was knowledgeable and pleasant. His storytelling abilities were superb. We LOVED hearing about the history and local lore of Wilmington. Highly Recommend!

We had a great time and our guide was very knowledgeable and likable. It was a little cold the night we went so standing outside for 2 hours might not be your cup of tea. They should include a stop along the way somewhere to grab a drink or provide some kind of drinks. The stories were very interesting even... More

I visited Wilmington, NC with my cousin for a long weekend in March 2015. We're both in our early 20s and are always looking for something fun and a little different to do. Neither of us had ever done a ghost tour before but decided we'd try to do one while we were in Wilmington because we'd heard good things.... More

Yes this is 2015, but from the moment you take your 1st step on this tour you are trapped or get the feeling of your being trapped in and smothered a bit and taken back a good 300 years or more.Well before our nation The United States of America was formed. And walk threw alleys and streets that have not changed... I was hoping this would be more of a ghost walk tour but it was more of a history tour of Wilmington. Not really what I was expecting. Our guide seemed to be knowledgeable about the history of the area. If your looking for history of the town this would be a good tour, but if you want to be... More
