More af a history tour than a scary ghost story session

We had a great time and our guide was very knowledgeable and likable. It was a little cold the night we went so standing outside for 2 hours might not be your cup of tea. They... read more

I took the tour with Kitty, who was dressed like the black-veiled widow in Edward Gorey's drawings for "Mystery!" She was an excellent storyteller and guide as we walked around downtown Wilmington. She explained the historical figures connected to each location, as well as the supernatural events and mysterious circumstances of each narrative. The tour inspired me to explore other... More

First of all, we can't say enough about our tour guide, John Henry Scott. He combined warmth, humor and drama with a ghostly educational tour of the old downtown Wilmington, NC area. What a treat! Mr. Scott has a background as a professional character actor, musician and radio host. He looks at first glance to be either an old salt... More

My daughter's and I have enjoyed several ghost walks in different cities. This was one of the best! Our tour guide Michael was knowledgeable and pleasant. His storytelling abilities were superb. We LOVED hearing about the history and local lore of Wilmington. Highly Recommend!

We had a great time and our guide was very knowledgeable and likable. It was a little cold the night we went so standing outside for 2 hours might not be your cup of tea. They should include a stop along the way somewhere to grab a drink or provide some kind of drinks. The stories were very interesting even... More

I visited Wilmington, NC with my cousin for a long weekend in March 2015. We're both in our early 20s and are always looking for something fun and a little different to do. Neither of us had ever done a ghost tour before but decided we'd try to do one while we were in Wilmington because we'd heard good things.... More

Yes this is 2015, but from the moment you take your 1st step on this tour you are trapped or get the feeling of your being trapped in and smothered a bit and taken back a good 300 years or more.Well before our nation The United States of America was formed. And walk threw alleys and streets that have not changed... I was hoping this would be more of a ghost walk tour but it was more of a history tour of Wilmington. Not really what I was expecting. Our guide seemed to be knowledgeable about the history of the area. If your looking for history of the town this would be a good tour, but if you want to be... More

Growing up in Wilmington, I am familiar with many ghost stories of the area. This tour provided detailed stories of various locations around Downtown Wilmington. I really loved it, and was glad they didn't stick to the classic stories everyone knows! I believe we heard 6 stories and our tour guide was wonderful. She used different voices for some of... More

This was very interesting--a great tour of downtown Wilmington at night. The guide was very well informed and the walk was more of a history walk with some ghost-like stories. But it was still very interesting. I would not go on this walk unless you can walk fast and don't have a problem walking at night. My mother had some... More

We had a great time with the ghost walk. My wife and have taken the several times before and have yet to be disappointed. Since we had taken the tour before our guide Michael asked us what we had heard and adjusted it so the same stories weren't told again. This is not a jump out at you scare tour... More
