We certainly didn't plan our trip to Wilmington to see this garden, but it wound up being a real highlight. Even though it is fairly small this is really several gardens in one, as the facility is separated into several distinct areas. We love Japanese gardens, and the Japanese garden portion didn't disappoint -- very nice use of the classical... More

The is a wonderful spot to visit in Wilmington. The walking isn't very intense, and the displays are lovely. The Japanese garden and the little playhouse are our favorites.

We stopped in on a whim and were very pleasantly surprised. This free attraction is beautifully maintained by the agriculture extension and a bunch of volunteers. It is both kid and adult focused and has areas that include a Japanese garden, a butterfly garden, a bog garden, rose garden and children's garden amongst others. It also has a nice pond... More

The Arboretum changes with each season, which makes it interesting every time I visit. The garden is well-kept and filled with lovely vegetation. It would be nice to remove visual clutter, like unsightly signs. Why not make pretty signage that don't detract from the lovely scenery. Attention to details like that make a difference, especially for amateur photographers.

Great gardens, quite compact, but packed full of local and interesting fauna. It's great learning place for the kids. They have picnic tables you can reserve for a fee, but the gardens themselves are free.

First our Arboretum displays different types of settings within the one big setting! There is a Japanese garden, a butterfly area, a pond area, and much much more! There is also a site that features local plants only native to our area! The Arboretum even has plant sales to buy local plants along with educational classes to learn about the... More

I love walking around this peaceful spot to take photos or do some sketches. It's such a tranquil little spot, but it can get warm in the summer. My favorite time to go is in the spring or fall. If you like nature, this is a nice place to get away.

We stopped in here after driving by it a hundred times. It's an interesting place to get some ideas for your garden or landscaping plans. The plant life is quite varied and in good shape. I wish there would have been a few more signs identifying what I was looking at. But it's easy to navigate and a pleasant walk.... More

If you need ideas or inspiration for your home garden this is the place. It's amazing what you can do in small areas. There is a lot to see, Kids will love the children's garden with little play houses to explore. The Japanese tee house is just what the doctor ordered. A place of peace and quiet to sit and... More
