Airlie Gardens is one of my favorite places in the world. I even got married there this past June. The grounds are gorgeous, well kept, and they even have outdoor concerts in the summer. Take your family, walk around, take pictures. You're going to want to come back again and again to see what this historic place has to offer!!!

Worth the stop at Airlie Garden. Get there early in the morning, to see the dew on the leaves and flowers. Beautiful setting and gardens!

My husband and I stopped here on our way back from the beach. This is a must see spot. It is approximately one and a half miles through the garden and you see everything from sculptures, to italian gardens, butterfly gardens, etc. The Live Oak tree in the center of the garden is over 400 years old and such a... Visiting this garden was one of our 15 year old's favorite parts of of our trip to the Carolina Beach area...our 10 year old loved it, too! Stunning and peaceful gardens. Relaxing to stroll across the property...surprise bonus was the small butterfly garden, swans, egrets and other wildlife. Manicured property is a hidden gem. The history itself is impressive. Loved... More

Visited on a rainy Saturday afternoon, and had the entire gardens to ourselves! It was beautiful, even in the wet. The bottle chapel is amazing, the Airlie Oak is incredibly impressive, and everything else is gorgeous, too. Stumbled upon the end of a wedding at Lebanon Chapel, which was fun. Beautiful chapel, beautiful couple, too.

beautiful grounds. we go for the summer time concert series on Fridays. some of the staff members are a little pretentious, slight understatement, but the place really is beautiful and a lot of cool gardens. my favorite is the Front Street Brewery is there with their slamming nachos and beers. nice little treat without having to go DT.

Such a beautiful garden. There are several different garden areas and all are beautiful. Make sure to see the Airlie Oak, the Bottle House and the Bridal Walk. These are just a few of the beautiful areas in the garden. The paths are level and flat for the most part, makes for a nice walk through the place. There is... More

We go to Wrightsville Beach at least a couple times of year, and sometimes you just want to do something off the beach. We've spent a good bit of time downtown doing the carriage rides, riverboat ride, walks, riverfront restaurants, etc., but we never stopped at Airlie for some reason. That was definitely a mistake on our part, as the... More
