Magnificent little treasure of a garden with much to see. Chapel, ancient Oak, waterview, fountains and pergola, and wildlife. Foxes, Egrets, Turtles, Butterflies....even a sweet little corn snake tucked away. Easy to walk, beautiful site for snapshots and easy proximity to the beach. Do not miss this dear little gift of life.

My daughter and I enjoyed touring this beautiful and peaceful garden one very hot afternoon. It was a nice quite place to get away for a little while. Never having been before, we found the map to be a little confusing but it's almost impossible to get lost on the grounds. Our plan is to return several times to see... More

Great place to walk around, look at everything and just relax. Great view of the water while you walk around.

Once we found the entrance, sign hidden by overgrown shrubs, I wished I would've packed a picnic lunch. Beautiful gardens and a small butterfly house, on a beautiful sunny afternoon, just the place to take a stroll and enjoy nature's beauty for almost 2 hours

A lovely spot just oozing atmosphere. Loved the ladies walking around dressed like Southern Belles.....and the Airlie Oak has to be seen to be believed!

Beautiful, peaceful, and historic. I could go back every day to enjoy this amazing place. The entry price is well worth the gorgeous scenery.

Airlie Gardens is a beautiful place year round, but I think that the spring with azalias and tulips blooming is most spectacular. It is best to pick a day that is not too hot since it is a lot of walking.

It's a wonderful place to visit, especially in the Spring when everything is blooming. During the week when it's not crowded, it's a very peaceful place for a quiet stroll.

We enjoyed our walk through the gardens and learning some history of the grounds. It was a very hot summer day in July but in our previous visits to Carolina Beach we had never visited Airlie. Take your time to see the best parts and the small details of the property. I would plan for about three hours total. You... More
