We book our sail before we book our hotel, that's how important a sail on the Jammin' is to us. Alan and First Mate Kaete are pleasant company and thoughtful hosts, and you just can't beat a beautiful sunset cruise along the Cape Fear River.

Thanks so much for keeping in touch with us. Next time you are in town for a few days let's make sure we get the best day with a beautiful breeze. Maybe we'll get down to Bald Head Island to visit you. If It is during the week we could sail down and meet you there. Until Later, Capt. Alan... More

Capt Alan and Kaete are awesome! Great communication- we were able to adjust plans based on pending weather, leading up to a relaxing afternoon, missing the rain! Learned some interesting history and all aboard able to participate as much as they wanted to. Hoist the sail- we will be back!

Thanks for your patience waiting for a clearing in the sky. We are happy to have people experience the joy of taking the helm and sailing the boat. You did a great job. Maybe you will be hooked on sailing. I hope so. Capt. Alan More

Our family had an amazing afternoon on the Cape Fear River today with Capt. Alan and First Mate Morgan! After several days of rainy weather, we were thrilled to have a long enough break in the rain for a little sailing, and it happened that the conditions made for a perfect trip! We received a friendly greeting at the dock... More

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to write about us. It was a pleasure to meet you and your kids. They were so polite and ready to learn. Smart too. I think I know who your kids take after. I am in awe of parents like you. Truly, Capt. Al More

Had a wonderful time on the river with Capt Alan. In addition to providing a very social and friendly atmosphere, the trip provided a basic education on sailing and he made my date feel extremely comfortable and confident at the helm. Overall a wonderful experience.

Ahoy There, We have a lot of couples sail with us and my wife and I feel honored to be able to spend an evening getting to know wonderful people like you. Sometimes it takes a little while to get the feel for sailing. When you think about it - learning to sail in one night is pretty darn good.... More

We almost didn't get to experience this lovely attraction-- after a day of rain showers and intermittent thunderstorms, the wind suddenly died out at the same time the skies cleared. No wind usually means no sail, right? Not for Captain Alan and First mate Kaete! Our group of six arrived via cab, loaded down with a cooler full of snacks... More

You were a wonderful and understanding group. It is rare that the river is totally calm but sometimes happens after a storm. I am so glad that you came aboard for refreshments and the wind came up. It turned out to be a beautiful evening to spend with all of you. You made our day. Alan and Kaete More

We first went out with this lovely couple a few years ago and have missed them! They are such fun and filled with interesting facts of the river and area in general. Getting a handicapped person on a boat is no small feat, but Al and Kaete are up to the task without acting put out. We love sailing and... More

This was a wonderful time on the water. The boat is small, which normally would be uncomfortable for my family, because we are not the type, to necessarily be comfortable so close to strangers for 2 plus hours, having to feel like making small talk, but this couple is so nice and made us all feel at ease immediately! They... More

Al and Kate were the most gracious and entertaining hosts! They shared with us lots of the history of Wilmington, were so wonderful to us and our kids and even provided bagels and juice for breakfast! The sailing was so enjoyable and relaxing! We definitely hope to come back and sail with them again next year.

Hi. We love meeting families like yours. What amazes us is that parents like you try to give their children experiences that may make a lasting impression, even change their lives. My parents gave my brother and me sailing lessons that absolutely changed mine for the better. Thanks for introducing us to your family. Kaete and Alan More

Our group (3 couples, 6 total people) had a FANTASTIC time with Alan and "First Mate - Kate"! We learned a lot about sailing in our "3-hour tour" and had ample opportunity to take our own turns behind the wheel. You are able to bring your own provisions onto the boat, so definitely recommend planning on that, its BYOB, unless... More

Captain Alan took us out sailing on a quiet afternoon just after we arrived in town. A perfect way to get out on the water and kick off a vacation. We learned about the areas history, learned a but about sailing, but mostly enjoyed the breezes and the water. Plan on doing this again.

When we go on a vacation we love to get a hotel with a pool and go for a swim. Maybe sailing is a good way to adapt to a new place. Never thought of that. Sailing isTherapy! Thank You. Capt. Al More
