Historic district is a combination of amazing Antebellum architecture with a mix of run down buildings. You won't necessarily get a history lesson but you will enjoy the scenic aspects. Area is not large, do not plan to be here all day. 2-3 hours of walking around is more than sufficient. Must see for tourists, combine this with time downtown... More

Wilmington is a walking town. We never used our car to go sightseeing or to eat. Everything is right there within walking distance and there are 3 homes that are a must to pay and see. They are the only ones in the historic district!

My wife and I share an apartment in the Brooklyn section of the historic district. We enjoy walking a few blocks to the scenic river walk. It is a pleasure to see the tourists visiting our city. We also enjoy the fine dining establishments in downtown Wilmington. You can have a slice of New York style pizza, to the lamb... More

We loved all the beautiful old homes in Wilmington's historic district! And the brick street areas were so unique! Also the river area was so neat and beautiful!

It was very cold but we had a great time visiting a few shops in the historic district. The locals share a lot of history and ghost stories.

A lot of the buildings date way back and it's nice to see a mixture of old and new. Some areas are a bit scruffy though.

This was a lot of fun! We're moving to Wilmington, so we wanted the family to learn a little history. This was a pleasant, fun way to do that. I don't think the kids even realized they were learning local history! The driver was pleasant and knowledgeable.
