I took my four grandchildren last week. Everyone was very nice but the animals looked really sad. Ok, I know that sound odd but they did. Most habitats didn't have water we could see. The zoo area for the animals was way too small. The lion and giraffe were alone. Can you imagine spending your life in a cage, alone?... More

A while ago there were picketers on site. Too bad they did not block the entry door and the entire driveway. I cannot drive past this sorry, sad, pathetic place without crying and I live here. It is a constant heartache. I cannot understand why the State of North Carolina does not shut them down. They must be heartless!

What do you expect from a roadside zoo. While I;m sure the owners mean well, The animals are mostly stuck in small cages. It's sad really. It has tons of potential if they can find the room and money to add more acreage to build bigger and better enclosures for these animals. I understand that many of them are rescue... More

We walked in the front doors and here is where the experience began. Apparently, my daughter (who is 14) decided to use her phone to take a picture of the giant stuffed gorilla on one of the racks to send to her friend back home while I paid the RIDICULOUS fee to enter the zoo area. While I was hand... More

We have been there two times and have loved it. Liked it better than NC Zoo. Great for kids. I like that the animals are so close to you.

I visited this zoo numerous times as a child. I now protest this zoo because conditions are poor and the animals suffer. They are too small and have too many animals, particularly large ones that need more natural habitats to thrive. The owners need to improve the conditions or find sanctuaries for the majority of the animals.

Mini horses hooves so badly over grown they are curling up. This is what you see only after months of neglect. (I'm a professional horse trainer & per vet graduate so I can speak with my credentials; this is neglect) they also had rain rot (a fungus) on their faces from lack of proper grooming. Bears living on cement. Lions... More

Visited Tregembo Animal Park recently and enjoyed it. From what I understand, the owner personally traveled all over to collect these animals, and they are very clearly well cared for. There are signs all over the place with a # to call (the office) if you see anyone bothering the animals in any way, as the people will then be... More

Sad sad sad, give the animals a better home! The animals are in tiny cages, I cannot believe this is allowed.

She's 5 yrs. old and loved seeing the animals, but especially the monkees. Good thing, too, because there are many varieties of them. All the animals look well cared for. There was a good variety of animals for us all to see. They have peanuts and other food you can purchase to feed the animals and she really loved that.... More
