We went to Tregembo Animal Park this past weekend. Adults tickets cost $10, which is the same as the regular (MUCH bigger) zoo in Asheboro. They have a lot of parrots and cockatoos, some monkeys, goats, and lots of turtles and alligators. Unfortunately, they also 2 beautiful bears and 2 lions in cages that are way, WAY too small for... more

Usually, I love all zoos, but this zoo was terrible. The place was very small for the admission price and very dirty. It seemed like a backyard zoo. The animals did not appear to be well maintained at all and did not have adequate living quarters. Most of them had tiny cages and looked miserable. The huge Lion in a... more

We went to the Tregembo Animal Park the first of July 2008. It is a small park with lots of animals. Inexpensive. Worth going to. Not hard to find. In a safe area. Animals are well kept. The staff is friendly. A+++++ more
