This is a great little museum! It is packed with historic artifacts and really neat model trains that fill a room with tracks and different landscapes/cityscapes. For those of us who grew up here, it is neat to learn how important the railroads were to Wilmington. There is also a real caboose outside to explore which was a treat because... More

We stayed within 2 blocks of the museum. It is not a huge museum like the B&O in Baltimore, more of a quaint museum. No one would be disappointed visiting it.

It was around $10. per adult, but the visitors center just down the walk way had coupons and lots of helpful information. The museum was great. Many trains for the big and small kids to enjoy.

We spent an enjoyable couple of hours on a cold weekday morning looking at and learning about NC trains and railway history. This is a self-paced / self-guided museum so you can learn as much or as little as you'd like.

Lots of history to look at, gives great overview of town/region railroad history. Solid amount of artifacts. Model train room is also a cool look at past. Fun hour or two.

Tis is a great little museum for train buffs. It will take about an hour to go through it. Lots of interesting displays and quite a nice model railroad display too. The volunteers who staff the museum are both friendly and knowledgable and happy to share their know Edge.

It was expensive for what it was but the staff was great and the outdoor caboose and engine were very cool. My son loves trains and he had a blast making the trains run and ringing the bell. He hardly noticed the train tables which he usually loves! Not a ton to do and not that much history, but If... More

Have a good family membership. Kids love all the electric trains, toy room and actual engine, cargo car and caboose.

I went because they advertised a Christmas light spectacular! I brought my kids and one additional child! Adults are $8 and I paid $5 for the 2 kids that were over 2, my little one was free! They did have a Christmas tree but the lights were not on, they had a few Christmas items around and a few displays... More

Our boys (2 and 3) enjoyed the Christmas exhibit, seeing Santa, and getting cookies and cider. It was reasonably priced ($5 each, including the kids) for a small family.
