This is NOT a museum. It is a big play place. If you're looking for a historical- educational place for kids... this is not it. It is simply a play area. Some of the rooms are fun, but it is very difficult to get past the fact that it is dirty! The toys look like they have never been sanitized/... More

A few months ago we took our daughter to the Wilmington Children Museum. Since that visit she has not stopped mentioning her desire to return and visit "the big bear in the wheel chair!" We've since been back with no less excitement, laughter, and fun than the first visit. The Wilmington Children's Museum is now on our "must visit in... More

We are a bit spoiled with the marbles kids museum near our home, but this was more than twice the price and no cheaper for those under 2! There were many areas but a lot were dirty, not well maintained. Pretty empty when we first got there so kind of strange. Overakl the kids has fun, but I would rank... More

This is a great spot in the heart of downtown Wilmington for Families to take their kiddos to learn and play. Stop in the Arts and Crafts room for a quick project - then move on to the Pirate ship.

We took our 5 year old grandson & it was amazing! He loved everything, there is so much to do, a child won't get bored. there is so much more sensory exibits than I expected in a "museum". It truly is a hands on experience.

The Wilmington Children's Museum is a lot of fun for younger children. They have many, many rooms where children can use their imaginations and play for hours. My children love the grocery store & restaurant rooms the most. There is 6 years between my two children, so the museum has become a difficult place to take them both as my... More

Our grandchildren, ages four and one, had a marvelous experience visiting the Wilmington Children's Museum. The "pirate ship" is awesome, as was the "tree slide for toddlers." Basically the museum is what you'd expect and way a good deal more. I highly recommend it!

I took my very adventurous toddler here this week while visiting from out of town. Overall, we really liked the museum- the staff was friendly, there were different themes and stages of learning and play and an outdoor area. My toddler was able to explore safely and also be creative in the art room. My biggest qualm is that it... More

We have been to A LOT of children's museums. As my children varying in age from 5-10, it is challenging to find an activity to entertain all three kids. This museum was fine but it seems like it has seen better days. My kindergartener was fine...she would have stayed for hours. My 8 & 10yo, who usually have no problem... More
