We spend $31 foe two minutes of realization of how downhill this museum has gone. Nothing works, filthy and signs every where letting you know things are "sick". It hasn't always been this way, but just not getting taken care of. Very sad!

We have two little boys ages 1 and 2. After getting stuck in traffic trying to get to the aquarium we turned around and settled on the children's museum. The charge for 4 adults and our two kids was $35. We spent appx 1 hour walking through the different areas. As others have noted, it was dirty and kind of... More

Every item is worn, dirty, old, or someone's old junk. The spaceship on the lower level looks like a club at UNCW whipped it together in a rush to head to the beach (the black paint on the ceiling that was never completed illustrates my point). There is a small playhouse here which is obviously a transplant from someone's backyard... More

We visited the museum with out 8 year old twins. While the museum is not up to the level of children's museums we have visited in Raleigh and Denver, we spent a solid day there, exploring and playing. My kids are really into pretend play, so this was a good fit for them. They liked the teddy bear hospital and... More

I took my two grandchildren here though we have one in our town but this one was outstanding compared to ours. We also checked out other museums but they were wowed but the children's museum. When I bring them back to Wilmington we will be coming here again.

Did not strike me as a museum, but more like a sloppy 'play' place for kids. Lay out made no sense and each 'zone' needed a good cleaning. Toys were outdated and 'learning stations' were bland. It's 3 floors of nonsense that most kids lose interest quickly. Mine sure did. Also seems geared to kids maybe 5 and under. Glad... More

Well, there is no doubt that this museum is fun for children. Boasting a 3 level historic building with lots of rooms, displays, scientific experiments, an art room, and outdoor garden with activities and a school bus to play in, this is a great way to spend 3 hours with your child and let their imaginations run free. Bring lots... More

We came here because we needed something to do on a rainy day. It was nice but could have used a good steam cleaning The book area and grocery areas were very lacking. The art area was nice, with paints, markers, stamps and crayons. Couple of nice niches in the science area. Nice to go once.

Great place to let the kids do what they want. They have all types of special events that the kids love. We go here all the time and if you get the yearly pass it is worth it.

We met my brother and his wife and daughter (3 1/2 years) at the museum while we were on our vacation in N. Myrtle Beach. Our daughter (almost 4 at the time) and my niece really enjoyed the museum. There was a lot to keep them engaged and we were interacting with them to show them how to do some... More
