It's dirty and only modestly maintained. Still costs a premium and I'm not sure what age range they are targeting - much of it is clearly for young children (toddlers). It's also not very big, so all that money you spend getting in doesn't equate to a whole lot of things to do. All that being said, our kids (ages... More

A great way to spend a rainy day! So much to see and do- great for kids of all ages. They even have an outdoor area.

I take my 2 year old granddaughter here about once a month. If you are going to go here that often you really need to buy the membership. To go just one time, I feel it is expensive. Yes, this place is huge, and has tons of interesting things for little ones to do. We can spend an hour or... More

The grandchildren enjoyed it but quickly got bored. The price was high for what was in the museum. Marbles in Raleigh was much better and cheaper. It is okay for a local rinky dink museum, but need to lower the price unless they are going to up-grade.

This was not was we expected. We've been to lots of really nice museums, but this wasn't one of them. There were activities to encourage imagination, but many displays seemed run-down and more like a friend's playroom than a museum. On the plus side, the staff were sanitizing the display items, so that was good to see!

We spend $31 foe two minutes of realization of how downhill this museum has gone. Nothing works, filthy and signs every where letting you know things are "sick". It hasn't always been this way, but just not getting taken care of. Very sad!

We have two little boys ages 1 and 2. After getting stuck in traffic trying to get to the aquarium we turned around and settled on the children's museum. The charge for 4 adults and our two kids was $35. We spent appx 1 hour walking through the different areas. As others have noted, it was dirty and kind of... More

Every item is worn, dirty, old, or someone's old junk. The spaceship on the lower level looks like a club at UNCW whipped it together in a rush to head to the beach (the black paint on the ceiling that was never completed illustrates my point). There is a small playhouse here which is obviously a transplant from someone's backyard... More

We visited the museum with out 8 year old twins. While the museum is not up to the level of children's museums we have visited in Raleigh and Denver, we spent a solid day there, exploring and playing. My kids are really into pretend play, so this was a good fit for them. They liked the teddy bear hospital and... More

I took my two grandchildren here though we have one in our town but this one was outstanding compared to ours. We also checked out other museums but they were wowed but the children's museum. When I bring them back to Wilmington we will be coming here again.
