This seems set up for much younger children and they do enjoy. For our kiddo 11 would for sure be too old to have fun. Good place for parents to sit and watch and let them have a good time. Be sure to sign up for mailing list if you are new to the area and have a younger crew-... More

As a Nanny and babysitter for two families, This is the place to go . Not living in Wilmington, our schedules don't always allow me to take them as much as they would like, but when it permits, It's time to let our hair down cause even I have fun in this place. They ask for it over and over... More

This museum is just ok. It is very dated and tired looking on most of the attractions. It could really do with a full update. They charge a lot for entry considering the quality. We don't go there instead we drive to Raleigh and take the kids to the Marbles Museum - its massive, modern and wonderful. Something the children... More

Parents, as well! A great interactive place to spend time with the young ones or your grandchildren. A grocery store with items they can "check out" themselves, a laboratory with labcoats and microscopes, a pirate ship to walk on, an archeological "dig" are some of the attractions inside. There is usually a coupon in the Attractions booklet, too, if you... More

Took my nephew here this summer and we had a wonderful time. He can't wait to go back! He said that this was his favorite thing we did all week! His favorite thing was doing the newscast, but I think he enjoyed the whole entire thing. If you are going make sure to give yourself plenty of time for your... More

We are in love with Wilmington's Children's museum! We spend 2-3 days here each year while on vacation. They have daily learning activities for the kids. This year my daughter learned how to make slime while being taught scientific properties of liquids and solids. Excellent permanent exhibits (grocery store, dentist, science lab) and lovely new exhibits each year. We really... More

Perfect for sunny or rainy days! The kids had a blast and there was so much for them to look at and do! This is one of the best children's museums I have ever been to!

We took our 4 year old and 6 year old and they really enjoyed it, once we got past the "ocean" part. They really enjoyed the art room and the diner upstairs. The building was interesting in that it was an old church. It did seem a little run down and some of the displays and toys were obviously hand... More

Great places for the kids to have fun and learn. Highly recommend. It's the kind of place they can run around while you sit and rest a while.
