We made a recent trip to Waynesville to visit our friends in the stunning North Carolina mountains. During our stay, we attended a play at the HART Theatre. The seats were comfortable, the sound was good and we had no problem seeing the stage from our center row seats. The play we saw was "Brighton Beach Memoirs". The actors were... More

As a resident of Waynesville, I am proud to have this exceptional theatre in our community. I frequent Broadway in New York, the Boston theatre scene as well as London, and I thoughroughly enjoy the performances here. Just this past week in the small theatre we saw Elemno Pea. Great stuff. Casual atmosphere, good audio, easy parking and reasonable prices.... More

Really enjoyed the live play we saw, To Kill a Mockingbird. Can not really remember when we went, just sometime this past year. Very nice place to go.

All seats are good. Concerts we've attended have been very good. The plays have been quite good as well as quality of performers. I would highly recommend this for visitors or locals (but check out what's playing. They try to provide a wide variety of entertainment and they can't bat 1.000.)

If you can't make it to a Broadway musical, the next best choice is HART. IT has been a destination for theater lovers for many years and shows no signs of losing the touch that is its hallmark: regional theater performed professionally.

Hart, always has a good show and some that you would not think would be done, in NC. They have done a lot of Broadway shows and done very well. There are really no bad seats, as the rake is great. I like sitting in the back and have no problem seeing the stage. It is definitely a community theater.... More

A lot of times small town theater can leave you disappointed. That won't happen to you at HART. Every show is different, of course, but our experience this summer has been that they produce high quality shows with excellent talent. The actors are superb, and they draw professional quality musicians, many of them from nearby Western Carolina University. The venue... More

What can I say but we are thrilled to have a small theater in town…it is repertory! We see a lot of the same actors and some shows work really well and others fall little flat, but it is always a great night to do something different. They really try and all in all they are on the higher end... More

Love going to The HART! Who knew there was so much local talent? I've been to a variety of shows here, but musicals are my favorite. The volunteer cast outdoes many of the professionals in surrounding areas. Come a little early and enjoy a glass of wine from the snack bar before the performance. A great date night venue:)
