Really enjoyed our visit to the Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation center at their new location in Surf City! The volunteers are very knowledgeable and eager to answer questions. Keep in mind they are open every day from noon to 4, except wednesday and sunday. Check it out!

The Turtle Hospital really fascinated the kids. You can really get a good close up look at these fascinating animals. What was most impressive here was the volunteers. Even though there was a good crowd they had volunteers every step of the way to provide a learning experience. It's great to see a place with supporters this committed and passionate... More

As all the reviews state, plan to wait in line. We arrived about 30 mins before they opened, which I recommend. Once the doors open, at noon, they make every point to get inside the air conditioned building. Inside you still have to wait a little while, but that part wasn't terrible. They had small exhibits & volunteers answering questions;... More

My wife and I spent a hour at their new location, They just opened the new location in June. They are still under a little bit of construction. Do not come here expecting it to be like a aquarium and have the turtles in exhibits. This is a hospital for the sick and injured sea turtles. We loved every bit... More

We were able to experience several "turtle" related things this week. The turtle hospital was a great place to see where all of the volunteers we met work with the turtles. Great and knowledgable staff. They tried hard to make heat more bearable (outside) while we waited. Great value also.

Loved learning what these volunteers are doing to help the sea turtles! Seeing the injuries some of the animals had and knowing that many have been returned to their habitats was uplifting

All of the volunteers did an excellent job of answering questions about the sea turtles. Everyone there seemed excited and happy to be a part of their work and it translated excitement over to our kids (2,5,6,9) as well! We enjoyed it very much!

We visited the sea turtle hospital last week. We had an 18 month old and a 4 year old with us and both boys loved it. The turtles are given great care and nursed back to health before being returned to the ocean. The wait to get into the venue was almost an hour long, but it was a cloudy... More

It is a valuable experience learning about the sea turtles, and I know that our admission benefits the turtles. PLAN TO STAND IN LINE to get in during the summer. We stood in line for a half hour this visit, and over an hour at their old location several years ago. However, the line moves reasonably quickly. It is a... More

This was my first time at the new sea turtle hospital and my experience was incredibly interesting! I will start off by saying that the line was only at most 20 min. The place is air conditioned and even while you are waiting in line there are many cool things too read and to see. Once you are in side... More
