Some tough holes but well maintained

This course can beat you up but it is well maintained and is mostly a fair course for most players. Some long holes and wide open. The greens are tough to hold but true.

This in an expensive round of golf and the course is in municipal course condition. The greens were in dismal shape and the fairways not much better. We were extremely disappointed to see this famous old course so run down.

Have played here numerous times in the past 10 years. Green fees are usually higher than other courses in the area, and the experience does not disappoint. This is one of the better conditioned courses and the layout is hard to beat. The restaurant and lodging is great as well. This is well worth the experience to come and play... More

Pines Needles lives up to it's reputation for both quality of the course and the service provided by all of their staff. Many courses in the area were suffering this summer but the greens and fairways at Pine Needles exceeded our expectations. We had a cool drink and a light snack in the lounge after our round and really enjoyed... More

Very nice course. Not much trouble in the fairways but watch the greens. Anything off center has a chance of rolling off the green.

I so my more enjoyed mid-pines, so this course just struck me as a little less interesting and not as visually attractive. Just hit them straight, and life is good.

We attended a wedding reception at the Pine Needles Event Center and it was great! The atmosphere was very nice and festive and the staff was wonderful. The event center is large and held the group with ease. The food was some of the best "event" food I have had with large and tasty steak, unique potato dish, veggies, rolls,... More

The weather was great and it was time to break out the shorts. Nice break from the cold Canadian winter. My son had played this course a few times with his golf team but it was the first time for me. The course is in pretty good shape though the greens seemed a bit rough but hey it is March.... More

Had volunteered at the US Women's Open here in 2007. First chance to come back to play the course in 2015. What an experience! Lodge rooms are extremely large and comfortable. Can picture golfers here in the 1970's enjoying cocktails and dining along with golf. Staff very friendly. Sure, some areas are a bit worn, but, it was as good... More
