I have played this course many times and was concerned about the condition of the greens this spring. In the last few weeks, with the help of the warm weather and some TLC, the greens are back. With the numerous courses in the area, I still find this to be one of top courses. It's not only challenging but the... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my round at River's Edge as the staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. The course was in great condition and the greens were fast and smooth. However the left edge of the 9th green seems to have sunk partway. Any ball that is hit to the middle of the green quickly rolls off the island green and... More

The greens are in rough shape or this is 5 stars all the way! When the greens are in it is tough to beat this course! Scenic views and just the right mix of easy and challenging holes. Good food at the turn! This is a must play for both locals and out of towners!

Avoid this course. They have completely lost their greens and give you some story about Poana. Was very disappointed having to putt on rolled mud surfaces.

First of all I want to say it was a pleasure playing this course. It has some of the most memorable holes I've ever played. Number nine is unbelievable. We played this course on 4/18/14 and even after the harsh winter we had the course was in considerably better shaped than others played that week. The down side in the... More

Played this course a couple of weeks ago. Have always loved the layout, especially hole number 9, which is one of the best I've ever played. However, I like a bit more grass under my ball in the fairway, and the greens were nothing more than average. Played a few course in N. Myrtle during the same trip, and all... More

This is the best golf course in North Carolina. The course is in excellent condition. The green are very well maintained. The only down side are the bunkers. They are in very poor shape.

Played Rivers Edge for the first time this year. A great test-make sure that you play off the appropriate tees. Many, many traps and waste areas and all are kept in great shape. With the exception of 2 greens they were in great shape for this time of year. Great Customer Service in both the Pro Shop and the Starter... More

This course is a true test. It requires that you play smart and manage your game. The staff was very friendly and the food was good as well. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants a memorable round. The scenery was spectacular. One of the most enjoyable rounds of golf I have had in a long time.
