My husband and I don't have children yet, but even being young at heart as we are, we LOVE going to the park! We go here at least once a month when the weather permits. Sometimes more often in summer months. We love to take the dogs to walk around the lake and sit out and fish. It's relaxing and... More

The park offers a variety of things to do-carousel, mini golf, small zoo, gem mining, paddle boats, and a small train. The park and activities are geared to the ages of 10 and under, but older kids would still enjoy it. Each activity has a small fee but it's not too pricey. Our group especially enjoyed mini golf, paddle boats,... More

Dan Nicholas is by far one of the best local parks I've ever visited. We went there several times while living in the area and the activities they offer are great for kids. We especially enjoyed the gem mining. We were also about to go during one of the primitive living festivals and met lots of interesting people. A must... More

This place is geared for families and groups with younger children, but my teenager and I still had a great time. We took the train ride and rode the carousel, which was a lot of fun. There's a water plaza where children of all ages can get as wet as they want standing next to the fountains of water shooting... More

Visiting family and spent the morning here. Had a fun, fascinating time at the sluice trough with our buckets. We found many beautiful specimens of several different types of crystals, gem stones and fossils. The nature center was interesting with several reptiles. There is a mini golf course, camping area for RVs and plenty of areas to walk. We finished... More

This is a great spot for families for a day out. Lots of reasonably priced attractions, lots of room to roam and swing sets, etc to play on.
