Hyden is a long drive from anywhere, but if you have seen pictures of the rock and wondered if it was as astonishing as the photos, it is worth the trip to find out. It is $10 to park at Wave Rock which you can pay at the shop nearby, or with coins at the carpark. Wave Rock is as... More

Rather impressive rock but you lose interest pretty fast. Do wear shoes as there is a lot of walking and climbing to be done. Remember to pay the $10 entrance fee at the machine (coins only) or at the shop nearby.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the park, the formation was stunning and bigger than I expected, a recommended view, as the climb to the top of the formation reveals picturesque views of the surrounding countryside. Give it a go, great photo opportunity.

This place is really far from the city, and it took a long time just to reach there. However, when you have reached here, you are able to go to few places nearby that showcase some really breathtaking rock formations. So for me, it was worth the long trip here. Even before you reach this place, you could make a... More

Wave Rock is so amazing. Photos and post cards can not give you the experience. Wave Rock has other not so famous rocks like the Hippo Rock. There is a $10 fee payable to enter this National Park. There looks like little to no up keep to railings, seats and clearance to some parts of the track. There were numerous seats... More

We had been to Wave Rock previously many years ago, but decided to have another look a few days ago. We were very fortunate in that Hyden, where the rock is situated, had had huge rains on the preceeding days, and the rain had washed down the Rock. The colours were absolutely stunning. We climbed up on the rock and... More

Very interesting walk over the rock formation, walk can be steep in some sections, route is marked out with steel pegs and easy to follow. The water catchment walls which follow the contours around the rock were very interesting and we witnessed them working during a brief shower of rain. The walk around to hippos yawn is level and there... More

I have been here before, but this time I climbed the all rock, and it was amazing. The views of this vast land that is ozzi land is amazing. I love the wave as it demonstrated nature's power, then when one climbs it, one can appreciate how far the ocean is from it. just breathtaking!!

Fantastic and you even get to climb the Rock. The shape and colours of the rock are very interesting. We walked around up to the Hippo's Yawn. We had a great time being there.

Only one hotel in Hayden, Hyden Motel, rooms very nicely decorated recently. If you go to the Buffett get there right on 6 as they don't replenish anything after this, it is a cook your own BBQ a very slack service, the hotel price was $150 a night captive audience.
