Wave rock is a four hour drive east of Perth. We went on our way from Perth to Esperance. It is amazing. Absolutely huge. And it really does look like a wave. Get the obligatory surfing photos and then climb to the top. Views are fantastic. You can see a lake from the top called Magic Lake. Worth a visit.... More

I might be the only girl driving four hours from Perth just to see it with my eyes. And all the efforts worth when you stand in front of a rock formed thounsands millions years ago, telling its history with a unique wave shape and a vivid colour change with the sun set. Also enjoy the top part of the... More

Long & rough ride towards the out-back Australia. We passed thru some quiet and shrinking towns. I had seen pics of Wave Rock. When we actually arrived, It's view of the ROCK is truly breathtaking. Wow! It's just amazing! The climb up to the top was just as good - beautiful view. Fortunately, it's winter - nice cool air. I... More

Just a spectacular natural formation. Plenty of information boards about the place for you to read about how it was formed and local history.

This rock just seems to come out of the bush at you. Great to see. I wandered over the top, but wouldn't recommend this bit for elderly or young children as you need solid footing. But the wave can be seen very well at ground level

This is a very good attraction if you are able bodied. I would not recommend the climb for any one who is unstable on their feet, as getting down can be quite a challenge.

A visit to Wave Rock is Must, there are more hidden treasures on the top of the rock system. Terrific views of the surrounding area and more rock formations

Well worth a look if you're in this part of the country. Amazing formation with this huge wave. Spectacular. Gets very warm in summer, so plenty of fluids,a good hat, sunscreen & definitely fly spray.

Wave Rock is unique, I think it belongs to the top 10 sites, erosion has not been produced by water erosion, but if you climb up you stand amazed at nature, the erosion came by wind - sand and rain, there potholes are arise and if much rain falls level flows over and flows downwards , so is wave rock... This rock is exactly like the pictures but when your there standing underneath them it feels quite surreal. They are however in the middle of nowhere but I do believe they are worth the drive. Also just around the corner from wave rock there is another rock called Hippo rock, worth look as well. We stayed the night in Hyden... More
