We did a daytrip to Waverock, which was about 400km from our house. Based on what we researched, we should be able to visit everything we want to see in a couple of hours. We were right, there was no point in staying overnight to see the place. The waverock formation was quite impressive, good to have some photos taken.... More

I visited Wave Rock with my sister last August and we drove down for the weekend at the caravan park. Whilst the chalet was dated the beds were really comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had a lovely meal across the road at the Motel and can't give them enough stars as the food was all homemade... More

It is small enough to get your fill in 10 minutes and you could walk around it or over it for exercise. Easy walk for adults and kids. The rock has been patched in places and it shows. You need to pay to enter.

This is a very interesting rock formation well worth the distance traveled to get there. Australia is a big place and offen stated "with nothing in between" the interesting sights. I beg to differ. There is constantly changing topography and when you have arrived, Wave Rock has plenty of other things to offer: visitors Centre, caravan park, wildlife display, airport,... More

If traveling from Perth its a long drive, so be prepared to spend some time at the rock. Its a spectacular wave shaped rock, which provides for great photograph opportunities, however it can get busy. Take time to work around and above the rock, there is a path that follows the rock line, past Hippo Cave. There is plenty of... More

Wave Rock is still unexpected. We'd seen the photos but still weren't prepared for its imposing size. Well worth the trip to see it.

I live in Perth so Hyden is only a 3ish hour drive for me. I visited once as a child with my family and have recently returned with my boyfriend. We drive there and back in one day and still had time to do everything. We visited wave rock, the lace shop (across the road), hippos yawn (nice 10-15minute walk... More

We enjoyed taking surfing photos like everyone else who was there. Lots of flies though. Anyway, the hike up to the top was worth it. Caught a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. But be careful to wear proper footwear if you wish to climb to the top. Remember to have change to pay for parking.
