Beautiful natural site. Surf the giant wave and make photos to impress your friends. You can walk above the wave as well. However, flies are all over the place so bring some repellent. Sunscreen and sunglasses are compulsory too!

We arrived in the afternoon and were fairly lucky with photos. Not many people and nice lighting. Walk to the top for a great view of the region !

Allocate 2.5hrs and beware there is a $12 aussie coin only parking fee machine to visit wave rock. In other news, the advertisement doesnt do this justice! The wave rock looks amazing, but as many travellers have noted, keep going and theres a trail to get up and onto the rock! The views are amazing! Then theres also a trail... More

Did not climb the Rock, just a bit steep for us, but did embark the stairs at the other end, shame there is a wall around the rock, does distract but guess some people just have to go near the edge (shame). A great venue to visit - this is spectacular and a well worth visit, you can also stay... More

The sunset is a must from the top, thick soled shoes are a must, star gazing at night is also spectacular but be careful as no lighting at night so take a torch/light - great photos prior to sun set of the wave as the light catches different shades images of the wave rock

Wave rock is such awesome piece of big rock completely amazed with how the water can form the shape of rock. Long distance driving trip and not too many cars along the way but would definitely go back again, worth the drive!

Quite an amazing and unique sight, a pretty and huge rock in an unsual wave shape. I am glad I stopped by on the way back to Perth from Esperance, it is definitely worth a stop. However it is a very long drive if you are doing it as just a day trip from either of these places and the... More

We were on our way from Esperance to Perth and planned on dropping in to see Wave Rock. Wow! So worth the drive to see it! Once you've taken in the spectrum of colours and textures of Wave Rock, make sure that you take one of the walks to the top of Hyden Rock (of which Wave Rock is a... More
