Amazing spectacle

Wave Rock is still unexpected. We'd seen the photos but still weren't prepared for its imposing size. Well worth the trip to see it.

I live in Perth so Hyden is only a 3ish hour drive for me. I visited once as a child with my family and have recently returned with my boyfriend. We drive there and back in one day and still had time to do everything. We visited wave rock, the lace shop (across the road), hippos yawn (nice 10-15minute walk... More

We enjoyed taking surfing photos like everyone else who was there. Lots of flies though. Anyway, the hike up to the top was worth it. Caught a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. But be careful to wear proper footwear if you wish to climb to the top. Remember to have change to pay for parking.

Beautiful huge concave cliff edging one face of the huge granite Hyden Rock. Very accessible. Make the most of the $10 fee by taking the walking trails and taking time to take in the numerous interesting and informative tableaux along the trail.

It was darn amazing, the wave rock was cool also I did visit the aboriginal cave and climb over the rock mountain ( there I could see whole WA farm from the top which was so relaxing and stunning). I am not really into to the animal, but hey! the wild live park has everything. (Lama, Emu, Albino Kangaroo, Koala,... More

The shape and colours of the rock are very interesting. We walked over the top and did the base walk. A good visit.

worth the long drive to see this amazing rock formation, if you don't feel like walking to the yawning hippo's you can drive right to it, I found this out after I had walked it but then took the car as Hubby is unable to walk that far. worth the climb up to the top of the wave also, but... More

This rock is an amazing example of what wind and rain achieves over millions of years. Not as big as we thought but a spectacular sight. The colours in the sunlight were beautiful and it really does depict a wave. Lovely safe walk alongside the rock. Well worth a visit.

This formation is astounding when I first saw it I was taken aback by Mother Natures beauty, she never cease to amaze me with her ability to bring a person to their sense in this mad world.

I have lived in Perth most of my life and never been. It is worth a look if you are in the area. The colours and formation is amazing. The walk to the top is steep but not that hard and worth it. Toilets, bbq, cafe and caravan park all right there.
