A hippo yawning is what it looks like too.

A bit of nature & imagination & yes it's a Hippo Yawning. It is found just a short drive pass the Wave Rock entrance or about a half kilometer walk from the rock.

A nice natural construction, with a bit of history behind it. A guide or a brochure will tell you all about it. It's litterally 1 min away from wave rock so you have no choice but to see it. A little less impressive though but still very good to see.

As told in the name, the rock is exactly like how a hippo is yawning. Very special and it is not too far from the wave rock. A must visit place!

As you are close to the wave rock this is worth seeing just so you can take pictures. A big tree blocks some of the view but it really does look like a hipp yawning.

After visiting the main attraction at Wave Rock, it might be a good idea to take a short hike to see this place. You will find out why it s called such.

It was a nice walk from the camping area (camp kitchen) or car park (if a day visitor) - shaded and interesting plants and trees to investigate.

The hippos yawn is fantastic. People always get photos in the mouth. It is very amazing the way the rock has been formed.

We had never heard of it until we stared planning our holiday. Just a short slow paced 20minute walk from wave rock. Or you can drive by car up to hippos yawn.

A fairly short loop walk from Wave Rock will bring you to Hippos Yawn. A big rock formation which, as the title suggests, resembles a hippo yawning. If you don't fancy the walk then I think you can drive there. If you've gone to see Wave Rock then you really should see this.
