Although there are several :Easy" walks, within the Bright area, the Valley Vies walk is moderate to medium in comparison. The starting point is on Hargreaves Street, but visit the information centre for much more details. Click on the site below for a downloadable PDF, of the walks within the Bright area that we found very interesting and comprehensive. http://www.alpinevalleygetaways.com.au/f.ashx/Bright-Wandi-Short-Walks.pdf

The whole area around Bright and Mt Buffalo has some of the most fantastic walks of the Victorian High Country.

great to walk along in the cool of the evening. Saw a platypus in the steam. Not many places to see these in the wild with easy access.

We walked into town from our accommodation , taking our time to enjoy the ovens river and its wildlife, which took 30 mins each way . Take trip on the left bank for better views and come back on the other side.

Lovely mountain scenery along the way. It is very forward thinking of local authorities to have provided this facility.

The trail seemed to be poorly marked and the views were not that much different from other trails in the area. We gave it a go but turned around after we bother felt uncomfortable with the lack of signs/markers.

The recent rain has left a few large puddles but it was still very relaxing and peaceful strolling with the kids and dog
