I’m a long term customer on the Rockfords mailing list and am lucky to be eligible for their private tasting room on the rare occasions I visit. When we arrived at the normal tasting area and let them know we had booked a tasting, we had to wait until someone could come and get us. There were very few people... More

The beautiful old buildings here are so interesting to walk around and photograph. The tasting room is full of old artefacts and history. The tasting was delightful - staff knowledgable and friendly. My friend had raved about the Alicante - excellent. A winery well worth a visit!

Got to taste my favourite Alicante. Go during the grape picking time, see them stomp grapes with bare feet. Joined up the Rockford Wine Club. Amazing wines, a very popular place.

If you only go to 1 winery on your visit to the Barossa this is it ! Classic old buildings. Excellent knowledgeable staff who are really enthusiastic about their wines. The favourites...Light rose style Alicante Bouchet and the classic big Baossa red Basket Press shiraz. Visit the Krondorf Jam tasting place in the adjacent building wonderful chutneys and sauces

We had a connected friend and got access to the VIP cellar door which is a very cool area. Now the wines are just as cool and we loved the sparkling red! They do business with a number of small local grape growers which is also cool.

Great wines, a bit of a step back in time to some traditional methods, knowledgeable staff . . . just wish I could get hold of some of their premium wines ! Well worth a visit if you are in the Barossa.

I've visited this lovely personalised winery on a few occasions their tawny port is one to be drunk, sipped, gulped, over great coffee with lovely friends. I've sadly lost my mate who partook in this lovely port with me on a regular basis when we were in town. I can highly recommend, for any occasion. However special ones are remembered more... More

Great wines but you need to be there at release times to get some of the wines. The chutney and jam shop next to the wine tasting area is well worth a visit.
