A fabulous 7 course lunch with great matching Rockford wines started at 12 noon and ended at 4.30.. Then next day off to several cellar doors. Henshke, Torbreck, Charles Melton, Langmeil. Fortunately we had Ralf drive us to each venue.

We had the sheer good luck, or should I say, the privilege to attend one of these lunches just this week. What an amazing experience, all aspects were fabulous, from the beautiful wine selections to the perfectly matched food, which has been lovingly grown in their own organic garden. The staff and our dining companions just topped it off. We... More

Take a weekend out of your hectic life and spend time with like minded people cruising the Murray River aboard the PS Marion paddle steamer (one of the oldest wooden, steam powered, passenger carrying paddle steamer in the world). Enjoy fabulous food (prepared by outstanding Australian guest chefs - on a wood burning oven) and glorious Rockford wines. Saturday is... More

The staff here were really engaged and friendly. They made the difference, asking it an experience not just a visit. The wines were very tasty as expected for Rockfords.

Wandering around the grounds of Rockford, enjoying the atmosphere and character of the many old buildings, it is not difficult to imagine winemaking as it was a hundred years ago. Their wines are legendary and to be able to enjoy them accompanied by a magnificent meal at a "Stone Wall members' lunch was memorable. The tasting before and after the... More

There is no pretence about this place (as really is the case in the wonderful Barossa). Rockfords carries on the tradition of the O'Callaghan family with an honest, high quality family approach to interacting with their loyal customers. Holly made us feel equally welcome and informed during our visit on the weekend. It helps that the wine is magnificent. We... More

Have been to Rockford several times, always satisfied and have become a fan of their wines. Visited this time as part of a medium-sized group. They gave us a separate room, with a warming fire place. :) The winery displays much of the wine making equipment, basket passes and de-stemming machines. Their is quite a lot of manual labor in... Charming and unique winery, home of Rod and Spur, Basket Press etc. Some of the friendliest people we encountered in the Barossa, they know their stuff! Also, they now have a selection of Krondorf Trading Co jams and chutneys which are divine. At home, try the fig and chilli chutney with duck and a glass/ bottle of Cab shiraz, yum.

An amazing place with amazing wines and preserves. We had a group of 15 and a private tasting in a beautiful little cottage room. Casey was fantastic for our group ... Good for a laugh, and very knowledgeable. I Loved it!

The picturesque stone buildings and winery basically smack bang in the middle of the courtyard add to the charm of this place. First class wines that are very hard to get as nearly all of their Basket Pressed Shiraz is available only at the cellar door or to the very fortunate mailing list members
