Langmeil Winery offers guests a relaxing friendly place to visit. The gardens are beautiful and child friendly, tables and chairs to enjoy your Cheese Box on a platter (or takeaway) with some of the yummy wines from the lovely staff at Cellar Door. Special back vintage tastings for $50 a person (bookings essential) in the Freedom Room Cellar and if the weather permits a vineyard tour also, showcasing old gnarly Shiraz vines believed to be the oldest in the world. The old Blacksmiths workshop and stables speaks the history of ole Langmeil Village. There is something for everyone at Langmeil Winery.

If you want to see a small(ish) winery, that still grows and pick their grapes by hand - this is the place. We were lucky enough to have John show us the vines, including ones that are over 170 years old - which still produce their 'Freedom' wine range! Due to diseases around the world that have wiped out other... More

Hello Christine. Thank you for your lovely review, it's what we strive for here at Langmeil. We are very proud to be the custodians of some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the world, and equally proud of our Freedom Shiraz wine that the fruit goes into. We are glad you enjoyed your tour, and all just a short stroll... More

We visited Langmeil on 2016 New Year Eve. The experience was amazing. The staff were most friendly, happy & relaxed. They offered us a range of wines & wine stories. My mum (visiting from overseas) was so happy, she even asked for employment at Langmeil:) They did a search to find the closest wine distributor nearby her place, which found... More

Lovely feel to the place. Excellent wines, especially liked the reds. Good for couples or small groups. Knowledgeable, friendly staff. Also had cheese boards and other parafinalia available to purchase as souvenir. Check opening times as they close a little sooner than surrounding wineries.

Tyler and I have been to the top 3 rated wineries in the Barossa, voted by TripAdvisor and it's 100% safe to say Langmeil Winery is voted no.1 to us! I ticked all the boxes from: exceptional service, a genuine historic atmosphere, fantastic tasting wines and overall we as customers felt valued - regardless if we bought after the tasting,... More

We cannot speak more highly of this winery. Not only are the wines lovely (live-wire reisling, Jackamans cab sav and orphan black Shiraz being our picks) but the staff were super friendly and went above and beyond any expected level of service. We visited Langmeil at the start of our Barossa trip and they were happy to provide a number... More

This has to be one of our favourite wineries in Australia, not just the Barossa. The staff are knowledgeable and passionate, with some humour, about the product without all the pretence of some wineries. No holding back on the top shelf stuff, all available for tasting. Loved the comparison tasting of the cabernet sauvignons and then the shirazs. Just received... More

Great winery, with some of the oldest commercial vines in the world (1847). Make sure you try their Orphan Bank! Amazing! You won't regret
