It is a very warm cellar door due to the nice fireplace and the warmth of the welcoming and friendly staff. We liked the Orphan and the Jackaman and would have loved to get the flagship ; The Freedom but it was out of stock and newest produce of 2012 wasn't released yet. Read the posters on the wall ,... This place is up there with some of the best, beautiful wines, great service , interesting history. Even a Orphan Bank with a waiting list. Go there and they will intrigued you. Thanks for arranging my dozen to Queensland.

Went to Langmeil for the first time as part of a day wine tasting... The staff were really friendly, welcoming and informed. They have a good range of white and red wines. We tasted a lovely 8 year old red and bought some wine. Worth a trip. :)

With so many choices to make, I'd asked friends their opinions (and spent time on tripadvisor) and someone suggested this place which was in my top three from all the wineries we visited in a 5 day trip. Outstanding.

Just back from my second trip to the Barossa. When I was there two years ago I stumbled across Langmeil and it was so good I visited it twice on the trip. Great service, a lovely cellar door and fantastic wines. As a result it was definitely on the list to return to on this visit, and this time with... More

With limited time in the barossa, made a list of the must dos (thanks trip advisor) to introduce my 19yo son to the delights of a good red. Langmeil was fifth on the list, but after three earlier wineries and a great lunch at the Taunanda Hotel, the 3.00pm, call it a day after great wines and meal bug bit.... More

Great history, great wine. If you are doing a tour of the Barossa, swing by Peter Lehmann then take a walk past the oldest Shiraz vines in the world and pop in here.

The cellar door is small and quaint, with great photos of winemaking in the area in days gone by. Quiet and picturesque, I would happily spend a couple of hours on the terrace covered in vines. What is even better is that the wines here are delicious, even the bottles under $20. The cab sav rosé was a favourite.
