Another cellar door I had recommend and boy, it didn't disappoint! The staff were so friendly, happy to recommend other places I'm the Barossa after asking what appealed to us. The heritage of the tasting area was fascinating, with lots of photo opportunities. And, of course the wines! Both the whites and the reds appealed to my palette, but it... More

Tucked away in the back streets of Tanunda is the Langmeil winery. A lovely setting with lots of old farm equipment to investigate. Very helpful cellar door staff who were very happy to assist us with our tasting. Free freight made our purchase of quality wine very affordable. The Ondenc Cuvee is a must.

During a recent 2 week winery trip through SA we visited Langmeil Winery. Of all the wineries we went to this was our favourite. Authentic historic cellar door, excellent service and exceptional wine. Great range of wines to taste, knowledgable, good humoured and extremely helpful staff. We also felt that these wines were great value for $ and far better... More

So I am a little bias, I have been going to Langmeil for a number of years, since about 2001. They have the best wine in Australia, The Freedom Shiraz, I currently have 3 vintages of this magnificent wine, 06, 08 and 10 just waiting for the right time (my son's 18th birthday sounds good). The staff are amazing, very... More

We went with a group of friends to Langmeil, what a great experience, tasted some fantastic reds and whites...superb reds. The day we went was quite cool so it was a real treat to be warmed by the wood fire then we wandered around the historic buildings including a very authentic Blacksmiths shop.A must do when visiting the Barossa.

Whilst everyone has different tastes, I think most people could find something they love here. The staff were really knowledgable and helped us find some wines that suited us. The building itself was also lovely and worth seeing with a great open fire in winter.

Everyones palate is different but the reds at this wonderful old Winery rate as the best. From its top of the range 1843 Freedom all the way down through the range and not forgetting the Bella Rouge or Livewire, a slightly frizante reisling. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, as well as some original mide 1800s buildings.

What a little treasure in the Barossa! I loved the little village atmosphere and old town feeling. I felt that I had gone back in time roaming around the historic village and admiring the carts and blacksmith's shop. Not only was this part the highlight but also the wine. I love the Rose! Lynn was friendly and delightful. We ended... More

If you are driving and only going to visit a couple of wineries in the Barossa make Langmeil one of them! Great down to earth service, knowledgable and fantastic service. The tastings are free and wine fabulous. My faves are the 'Livewire' Riesling and the Bella Rouge Rose. His is the Mataro, a big red that you can only purchase... More
