Lushan West Sea has over 1600 islands. The more popular islands have names such as Grandmother's Island, Monkey Island, Snake Island, Peacock Island, etc. Went by water ferry to the first island, then visited at least 10 islands by crossing on rubber buoys in the lakes. I went over on a bridge once, but walked on water to the others.... More

Early in the morning we set out from our hotel, heading for Ruqin Lake (如琴湖). After 5 minutes, we were at its brim. The lake water had been drained out and what was left was the bending bridge running across the dried up lake. What a disappointment! Anyway, we pressed on and walked to the Jinxiu Valley (锦绣谷).
