We visited The Grand Canyon on our first day along with Huanglong cave later in the afternoon. I could imagine you may be disappointed with this place if you went to other areas of the park first. The scenery is different - it does not have the same wow factor but it is still interesting and has a different appeal.... More

Your choice, take the mono rail, walk on your own or with a tour guide. A well maintained path next to a crystal clear creek leads into a canyon with greenery surrounded by spectacular mountain peaks and rock formations, naturally sculptured into unusual shapes that one might think they are men made. Rhesus monkeys will occasionally come closer to inspect... More

I did not plan to go here however on recommendation of the congierge of the hotel we did so and it was surely the best decision ever. There are by far not as many tourist at the Canyon than in the national parks. The set up is wonderful, you firstly get to walk down to the valley by stairs and... More

Went on the $99 Nexus tour to Zhangjiajie in September. $99 US dollars covers 6 nights hotel stay, 3 meals a day, tour guide and daily bus transportation. Definitely worth the $99! Had to pay $130 US dollars for tram ride to top of Zhangjiajie to walk on the glass bridge and tour of the Grand Canyon. Be prepared for... More

The whole trip will take 2hrs for a leisure hike, totally worth it, very scenic walk & quiet (as compared to the other major tourist sites). We walk down a lot of steep stairs in a narrow crack of the canyon, then took 2 slides down, walk a long wooden decking all the way along the river in the canyon,... More

Ok so right now not a lot of people know about this place (as of September 2013) and there weren't any English speakers there when we went, but it was simply amazing. If you don't speak Chinese, you might want to hire a guide to accompany you since there's a lot you might miss. You start with a steep stairway... More

This is a relatively new attraction in the area (3-4 years old). Not as many people know about it. As a result, when we visited, it was not very crowded which made it much more enjoyable than Zhangjiajie Park it self. From Wulingyuan, it's about a 40 minute ride by car. You start from the top of the canyon, walk... More

Nice place for hiking, especially the ladders which are more than 1000 steps and it is very steep. Firstly you get off the bus when the bus takes to the top of Zhangjiajie Great Canyon, then you have to hiking down to the foot of mountain, the air is really nice as soon as you enter the valley. The numerous waterfalls are... More
