One of the prettiest lakes in the Southeastern US!

Absolutely beautiful, quiet and clean. Mostly undeveloped forest land surrounding lake. Great for fishing, boating and swimming.

Beautiful spot. We went out in a canoe for several hours and felt like we had the lake to ourselves. We only saw 2 pontoon boats and a couple kakaks. The water was tranquil and the mountains views were amazing.

Little used lake where you can canoe, paddle board, or kayak without being bothered by motor boats. The mountains come down right into the lake. Just beautiful and peaceful!

There is a small beach access right past the marina & campground. Free parking makes this beach very special. There are picnic tables, grills, and a large shelter for gatherings. The bathroom is very old and actually an outhouse. (That is is only draw-back. It smells awful) Besides the bathroom, It is such a beautiful & perfect spot! There is... More

Rented a very pontoon boat for our extended family for 4 hours as well as a tube to pull behind the boat. 9 of us total with kids ranging in age from 5-17 years. Great day out-beautiful lake, nice facilities with the prettiest landscaping I've ever seen at a Marina. Really enjoyed ourselves and wore the kids out!

The best of worlds - scenic mountains and a crystal clear deep water lake. Surrounded by mostly national forest, the tranquility and beauty is unsurpassed. Rent a boat from the rustic marina, find a quiet cove and you may not see anyone the rest of the day. The lake covenants preserve the rustic charm. Rental houses available on the lake,... More

This lake is a laid back gem. It is uncrowded even on holidays. About 90% of the shoreline is national forest. The water is deep and very clean and clear. Boating, swimming and tubing are awesome there.
