We were looking for a new park to visit and this was a great little park kind of hidden away. It has paddle boats, a carousel, large playground area, train and a few little shops for food and such. You can also ride their train. The prices were pretty reasonable and it wasn't too crowded. The Carousel was pretty amazing... More

Our kids are getting a bit old for this park but there's still plenty to enjoy. It was closed for reno last time we were in town and the upgrades are very nice.

This park is big. A great view since you get in. From swimming pool center to playgrounds, train ride, pedaling boats, carousel, picnic area and a lot of tree shades. It was packed the Saturday we visit. We took our on picnic baskets but there's a food court available. The only bad thing is not to much disable access. Too... More

This large park includes a small area that is a recreation of an old fashioned amusement park with rides for small children for $1 a ride. There are several age-specific modern playgrounds. The historic carousel ride is fast and runs for a long time. The train ride is scenic and is on real tracks. There are pedal boats on a... More

Pullen Park was the first public park in NC (1887). It's the 5th oldest in the US and the 16th oldest in the world. The 1921 Dentzel carousel has over 50 hand-carved and hand-painted animals. Unfortunately the last time they did restoration work on them they put a very very shiny coating on them and now they almost look plastic.... More

The park's recent overhaul makes it a destination for parents with young kids. Between the play area, the trains, and the paddle boats, there's a whole lot to do for a reasonable price.

Love this park. clean. need to bring $$ if your children want to ride the carousel or boats. My children have loved this park since they were walking.

We had a 2 year old, 7 and 10. Spent $30, went on a short paddle boat trip, carousel and a mini train that lasted about 3 minutes twice. We were there for about 2.5 hours. The place is really nice but it's not as great as all of these reviews show (#4 attraction in Raleigh?). Small children will love... More

Loved this park! Clean, updated, and well organized. My 2.5 year old loved the train ride - a bit short, but for $1/ride, you can't beat it. He loved playing in the playground areas, too, and exploring the caboose. Great area for playing in the sand and water.
