Really enjoyed my first ever trip to Pullen Park! It us really a hidden jewel in urban Raleigh. Although parking seems insuffucient, the park itself is large enough to handle crowds. There is a carousel, miniature train ride around the perimeter of the park, paddle boats aND play structures for kids. Bet it's really pretty in the spring!

Pullen Park is a well-known park not far from downtown Raleigh and very close to NCSU. It is a great place for some "family time"......playground equipment for the little ones, and picnic shelters....plus grills on-site. One of the oldest carousels in the U.S. is located in Pullen Park.........yes, it still operates! They also have paddle boats during warm weather......and a... More

Nice small park. Generally quite for afternoon reading or early morning jog. Well groomed bushes and trees. Train ride very economical.

Very nice park, especially in a sunny day. Kids really enjoyed the carousel and the train after a good walk along the lake. I like that tickets are not expensive: 1$ per ticket. It takes 2/3 hour to visit it at the best.

I grew up going to this place, and unfortunately it had fallen into disrepair a few years ago. The city saw it for the gem it could potentially be and thankfully spent a lot of money to get it completely renovated. I was overjoyed to finally take my kids here recently and they loved it. I'm not sure there's another... More

I love taking my kids to Pullen Park, since there is so much stuff to do there. We always go on a train ride first, and then the carouselle and the boat rides. Usually we stay for about 4 hours, but we could easily spend a whole day! I also like the low ticket prices, which makes it affordable for... More

A place to sit on a bench or enjoy the walking paths in Raleigh. There are a few amusements including paddle boats and a train ride around the park. It is very clean and well cared for. Popular but not too crowded.

This place was great fun! Took a 2.5 year old and she loved the playground, boat ride, carousel and train. Tickets for rides are only $1. This place was a quite crowded on the first Saturday of spring but waits for rides weren't too bad. We did have to circle around several times to find parking.

There is something for everyone of every age here: playgrounds for each age group, train ride, carousel, boat ride for the little ones, paddle boats for older ones. There are places to walk, picnic and even a restaurant which offers local and healthy food for purchase to eat outdoors at tables on the patio. Go early as parking is limited.
