I love visiting gardens and the RLT Rose garden is a wonderful little side trip or picnic spot if you are in Raleigh. It is in the middle of a quaint neighborhood near NC State University and it is usually a quiet place to visit. Other gardens in the Raleigh area that are worth a peek are: JC Raulston Arboretum... This is a beautiful place set in like a bowl next to an amphitheater and the Raleigh Little theater. Roses are beautiful and you can actually smell them. There are many types of roses and colors to see. There are nice benches and picnic tables and it is in a very nice natural setting with large trees surrounding the gardens... More

Great way to spend an afternoon. Thick lovely grass to walk through, beautiful blooming gardens, well kept and worth a visit. Have seen people having weddings there before and was quite lovely.

Stroll through the well maintained roses, making sure to stop to smell them. Perfect for a quiet romantic picnic date. A nice bottle of wine, select cheese with crackers and don't forget a little chocolate for a even sweeter evening. Hope you smell the roses soon!!

It won't take long to visit this garden, but it's worth the trip and time. Surrounded by city neighborhoods and the university, you'll be surprised how relaxing it is to walk around. Well kept and one of the best places to practice your photography skills.

The roses are beautiful and well cared for. There are so many varieties of roses with description of the species. Great to being family, friends, or just by yourself for a visit. Perfect place for an outdoor wedding as well.
