Paddle boarding was on our bucket list. My wife and I Did this tour and it was sooo much fun! The instructor, Josh was informative and made the morning enjoyable with his expert knowledge and well placed humor. I would recommend this activity to anyone. Our greatest fear was not being able to get back on the board after dismounting,... More

I took the Downtown Discovery tour on a Saturday. There were 10 in our group, and each person received group instruction and then one-on-one training with three instructors participating. I had previously done a DC Segway tour of the National Mall, and in retrospect the training I received there - particularly for dismounts which are tricky - was inadequate. Triangle... More

Staff did a great job training us and Mimi was an excellent guide. She gave an interesting narrative during the tour. Staff immediately recognized any weakness and retrained us before we went out.

Excellent 90 minute tour, covering all of Downtown Raleigh and including Oakwood, Mordecai, Glenwood South. Learned a lot about Raleigh and its origins as our state capital that I didn't know. Riding the electric bike was fun, and having the extra help going uphill was great! Definitely a tour for adults, wear clothes appropriate for a bike ride. The ride... More

This is definitely a lesson and not an "excursion" Josh was a very patient instructor. If you've been paddleboarding before but have never been taught anything but how to stand up on the board and do a basic stroke, then you can still learn more strokes in this class. But there's not a whole lot of time to actually enjoy... More

My sister & I tried stand up paddle boarding for the first time and had a fun time and great experience. Josh is an excellent instructor. Very encouraging and knowledgeable.

Though I may not go out and purchase a paddle board, I will enjoy it as frequently as possible. Josh was our instructor. He communicated clearly, simply, and thoroughly. His kind support, reminding, and encouragement gave us all the confidence that we could do it, as well as enjoy it as we did. Even this old woman! I enjoyed this... More

Did this tour with my 18 year old to share some history of my birthplace. This was our third segway tour in various cities and the most informative. The pace was little slow because you are in a downtown city and it was lunch time. They do an excellent job of instruction for nivice ir experienced rider. Safety was paramount... More

Not only is riding a segway lots of fun but you learn great information about Raleigh. The tour guide was very knowlegeable about the area and tailored the information she shared with us to our group.

My husband and I decided to take the Historic Oakwood tour and we were not disappointed! We have lived in the Raleigh area all our lives and never been to some of the places on the tour, let alone know the history behind it. We will be back to take some of the other tours that are offered.
