Did this with a friend who was visiting. The tour guide was nice, good blend of people. Had samples of food at five places . Guide had good history of facts about Raleigh. Will definitely consider a tour in another city. Did require walking and use stairs. A good change of pace.

We live in Garner right outside of Raleigh, we never think about going downtown to eat..We will now. On our tour we went to Sittis, Oak City meatball , Jo see and sons, Crank Arm Brewery, and ended with wine and dessert at Bolt. The food at all these restaurants was delicious. Portions were plenty. Our tour guide Jenni was... More

Visiting from out of town, we did the Raleigh Friday afternoon tour. The selection of restaurants was varied--Latin, Korean fusion, chocolate, pie and cocktails--and all the tastes were delicious. Jeanie was an excellent guide and we gained an understanding of Raleigh's food scene and historic areas. Also enjoyed the opportunity to chat with others on the tour--visitors and locals.

Although downtown Raleigh provides a less picturesque setting than guided food tours I’ve taken in Baltimore’s Fells Point and Annapolis, restaurant quality and tour-guide expertise was just as good and maybe even better. While stops vary tour to tour, several restaurants offered dishes that imaginatively blended Southern cuisine with their particular ethnicity, namely Sitti (Lebanese) and Jose & Sons (Mexican).... My husband and I did the Durham food tour 4 weeks ago and loved it. The Raleigh food tour came highly recommended to us by several friends, and it didn't disappoint. We took my mother-in-law who was visiting from out of town - it was a great way for her to see some of downtown Raleigh. The restaurants on our... More

We went on the Raleigh roots tour. My group of four have never been on a food tour and do not really consider ourselves "foodies" but we really enjoyed this tour. Were from Chicago, so it was a nice way to learn about some of the neighborhoods in Raleigh. All of the places we visited were very interesting and everyone... More

I have done both the Raleigh and Durham Taste Carolina tours, and loved them both. The company coordinates with the "latest and greatest" restaurants and bars in the city. At each stop, not only do participants get to sample some delicious food/drink of the restaurant, but also hear from the restaurant owners/managers about the menu design, business ethos (locally sourced,... I am happy we tried our first food tour. It was something different to do, and nice to get all the historical information as we walked around. I think it would be more fun if you get a big group you know and do together. I am happy we did it once, but in the future we would prefer to... More

I want to be honest with this review from the start. Our tour guide asked for feedback at the end and I was too scared to give it in person. I did not want to make a bad experience even more awkward. I should have provided this directly to her when she asked. While I did not provide the feedback... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We were so very disappointed to see this review, our only one-star review in our five year history. In the six North Carolina cities in which we operate, just 9 out of 190 reviews are less than four stars. Our tour guides are social, knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. They are... More
