Fun market to walk around and enjoy all the beautiful colors of all the fruits and veggies. The produce is so fresh I am so appreciative to the farmers for the delicious food they grow. There is also a great selection of plants, flowers and herbs for you to purchase. This is where I do my shopping for my planters. The... More

If you want real peaches, you have to wait until mid-summer and then get Georgia, SC or NC sandhill peaches. There is nothing else close. Others will be very attractive but the color, aroma, flesh density will disappoint in comparison. The price at the Farmer's Mkt will also be the best.

Certainly a great display of local agriculture. No shortage of choices. You will see vegetables, fruits, trees, shrubs, flowers, canned goods, meats, desserts, breads, and other items. Yes there is seafood restaurant here but as far as I remember it was fried-only seafood (a typical inexpensive southern seafood preparation). Overall, a very nice short day time visit. You can spend... More

Love shopping here. All produce and plants must be grown or produced in NC, so you can really see the agriculture and some of the local meats/fish. Onsite seafood and NC restaurants, great prices

We drove from Edenton (2 1/2 hour drive) to our first visit to Raleigh. Food and wine is what we're all about, so we were excited about this farmer's market. Haven't been to many places like this in the US. Very large - lots of vendors and it was March. Best baguette I've had since France. Fresh, delicious chevre, too.... More

Just returned from a few days in Raleigh, North Carolina visiting with friends. A highlight for me was spending a couple hours at the State Farmer's Market Sunday morning. We were fortunate that on this particular Sunday many crafters/artisans from across the State were there, as they are not always. However, if they are not I would not let this... More

When I was there it was cold because of a little snow a few days before, but even with the chilly weather the seafood restaurant was packed with people, and there were vendors out there with a ton of fruit and vegetables to sell, even plants. I would imagine this farmer's market would be an awesome sight to see in... More

Not too much happening since it is Winter but I love the variety. Love the fresh vegetables, even the fresh peanuts and natural honey. Will come back in the Spring!!

This is a great farmers market to visit. Lots of fresh local produce, plants, and goodies. I got collards, broccoli, and some herb plants. We love stopping by to see what they have at different times of the year. A wonderful place to visit anytime of the year.
