We drove from Edenton (2 1/2 hour drive) to our first visit to Raleigh. Food and wine is what we're all about, so we were excited about this farmer's market. Haven't been to many places like this in the US. Very large - lots of vendors and it was March. Best baguette I've had since France. Fresh, delicious chevre, too.... More

Just returned from a few days in Raleigh, North Carolina visiting with friends. A highlight for me was spending a couple hours at the State Farmer's Market Sunday morning. We were fortunate that on this particular Sunday many crafters/artisans from across the State were there, as they are not always. However, if they are not I would not let this... More

When I was there it was cold because of a little snow a few days before, but even with the chilly weather the seafood restaurant was packed with people, and there were vendors out there with a ton of fruit and vegetables to sell, even plants. I would imagine this farmer's market would be an awesome sight to see in... More

Not too much happening since it is Winter but I love the variety. Love the fresh vegetables, even the fresh peanuts and natural honey. Will come back in the Spring!!

This is a great farmers market to visit. Lots of fresh local produce, plants, and goodies. I got collards, broccoli, and some herb plants. We love stopping by to see what they have at different times of the year. A wonderful place to visit anytime of the year.

I've moved away from Raleigh, but when I lived in town, I tried to come every weekend. Whenever I come back into town, I make sure to visit. Spring, Summer, and fall are the best times to visit with plenty to offer. Even though its cold in January and February, there are still many vendors out there. I have never... More

Hands down the best farmer's market I have ever visited. We never miss it when passing through Raleigh. There are year round booths & seasonal. Holiday time we go just to smell & see all the trees! Lot's of variety of items for sale, but all food or agricultural in nature, or at least 99.9% of it is. We love... More

We stopped by the Farmer's Market on our way to our motel near RDU to pass some time. Glad we did. A lot to see there, especially at the import shop. If you need anything unusual for outdoor decor, this is the place to shop.

If you're looking for something to do on a weekend day where you want to kill 1-2 hours, I'd highly recommend the State Farmer's Market. With many places to explore on the grounds, you'll find vendors that sell things from corn, sweet potatoes, and many other NC grown foods that are in season. The permanent stand building that houses the... More
