The Farmer's Market is a great place to get fresh food, flowers, plants and trees..for a very decent price. Local growers sell there and their prices are much cheaper than the grocery store. It is worth the trip. There is also a fish restraunt that is awesome! The food is very good! Fresh seafood! More

If you live in the area and haven't been to the Farmer's Market, go. If you are visiting the area it is worth at least a 30 min. visit. There is a restaurant on site that serves good food (basically meat and vegetable plates), an especially good place for breakfast...country ham, eggs, etc. The outdoor area of the market is... More

There was everything you could possibly want at this huge farmer's market. Coming from Michigan it was a delight to purchase in season veggies and fruits. Well worth the stop and don't pass up their restaurant! More

We love supporting our local farmers as much as we can. It's fun to go on a Saturday morning, pick out fresh ingredients for dinner and invite friends and/or neighbors to enjoy it with you for the evening! More

We are so lucky to live in Raleigh and to have access to the State Farmers Market. The old one in north Raleigh had a lot of charm but was somewhat decrepit. The current one is still bright and shiny and the vendors are super! Lots of seasonal veggies. Pumpkins, Christmas Trees, etc when appropriate. Be sure to check their... More

Took my grand daughters on a day trip. We bought apples, sweet potatoes, peaches, and they picked out pumpkins and sweets. Lots of varities of vegetables, fruits, canned goods, flowers, plants, and home baked goods. Loved the look on their faces of everything to choose from. Will definitely go again..... More

We enjoyed the whole place: plants, vegetables, fruits, baked goods, honey, jams, everything! We left well stocked and found the prices very affordable. We had lunch at the on site restaurant and it was very good with great service- lunch for four about $40. More

The freshness of fruits and vegetables is outstanding. However be sure to inspect for damaged or over ripe fruits that are usually hidden underneath the better looking ones. Still worth your trip! More
