Lives up to its reputation. Get in your practice on the greens and chipping area though...The areas around the green are very tight lies, so you need to get used to how to chip from there...but this is a great course for pros and amateurs alike. Very open with opportunities to recover

This was a bucket list course and I am so glad I was able to share it with my brother-in-law. The only thing I will say- take a caddie. We did the cart thing (have a bag knee). However, if you take a cart you have to stay on the paths. Which meant we did as much walking as if... More

Simply one of the greatest courses in the world. Bring your A game. Too tough for high handicappers. Be sure and take a caddy.

It's a visit to be part of history. Great course, terrific staff and service. It's not cheap to play number 2 but you can't play a U.S. open course everyday. Would have loved to play it more than once but it was cost prohibitive. Enjoyed playing number 4 and 3 as well.

To play Pinehurst #2 on a perfect cloudless day with a slight breeze is sublime and for a nominal amount you can have a fore caddie spotting your errant shots, giving you yardage and contour information and encouraging you throughout the round. Better than any GPS/Laser rangefinder. It is a PGA Tour-like experience where all you have to do is... More

This course is the hardest test of golf around and on the greens that I have experienced. I was actually intimidated by them to the point that I hit poor shots for the first few holes. The atmosphere will overcome any poor shots however. The history and legacy here is incredible and you can feel it as you walk the... More

Pinehurst #2 is what every golf course should aspire to. We took caddies which makes the experience awesome and definitely helps on the greens. The course is well designed, well manicured and very fair. The bunkers and waste areas are impressive and easy to play out of. Greens are firm, true and fast.

A friend recommended us to play the 2 course at the pinehurst, as his Teenage kid played it in an amateur tournament. And I had to say it was the best golf round I ever played; the greens are very challenging but impeccable; faireways are very nice and well kept, and the cart path its always running between the pines.... I have lived withing walking distance of the resort for the last 20 years. Driving past the clubhouse is grand. My children have both played #2 on several occasions, and my only experience had been as caddie for my son. That alone was worthy of five stars. I was invited to play on #2 last year (post renovation). All I... More
