Pinehurst #2 is what every golf course should aspire to. We took caddies which makes the experience awesome and definitely helps on the greens. The course is well designed, well manicured and very fair. The bunkers and waste areas are impressive and easy to play out of. Greens are firm, true and fast.

A friend recommended us to play the 2 course at the pinehurst, as his Teenage kid played it in an amateur tournament. And I had to say it was the best golf round I ever played; the greens are very challenging but impeccable; faireways are very nice and well kept, and the cart path its always running between the pines.... I have lived withing walking distance of the resort for the last 20 years. Driving past the clubhouse is grand. My children have both played #2 on several occasions, and my only experience had been as caddie for my son. That alone was worthy of five stars. I was invited to play on #2 last year (post renovation). All I... More

We stayed at the Carolina and played #2, #4 & #8. The hotel is such a grand facility. It makes sense when you hear people refer to Pinehurst as the St. Andrews of the US. Great attitudes are the norm and the golf is spectacular. Play #2 with caddies, you will be glad you did. There is something about walking... More

After having played Tobacco Road, Whispering Pines, Mid Pines, and Pinehurst No. 8, I was so looking forward to playing Course No. 2. Everything was seamless. Our clubs were transferred from No. 8 to No. 2 and ready to go when we arrived. The clubhouse is rich with tradition and a joy to walk through. The locker room was spotless... More

Having played #2 previously, I was eager to see the results of the recent renovation. I was surprised that the cost of playing had sky-rocketed. WOW! The biggest disappointment was the condition of the course. Definitely not what you would expect for the amount of money you have to pay to play. I would suggest "stay in Pinehurst, play somewhere... We were on a package and I was told it would be an extra $125 per player, but it was much more-$195 if I remember correctly plus $125 for the caddie. Usually that is money well spent but ours was sullen and it was pretty clear he was not worried about our golf experience. I had a great round till... More

I took my brother to play Pinehurst for his 40th birthday. It was fun to be able to say we played #2, but have to say that for the price, not sure I'd play it again. There were no holes that really stood out, and I think playing Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes, Whistling Straits, etc. would be more with the... More

Pinehurst #2 is a special course. It is like no other I have ever played. Musch has been written so I won't go on about the course. My main complaint is how POOR the practice facilities are. I was shocked by the condition of the practice range. I understand these course get a lot of play and the practice facilities... More
