Love this beach

Lots of parking. Showers. Changing stalls. Lifeguards. Seashells. What more can you ask for! Fun 1hr ferry trip from Hatteras.

The beach is beautiful! There is lots of room to spread out and have your own space. There's also room for 4WD to drive along the beach, park, and enjoy the beach. OI is one of a kind. Lots of beach, dunes, privacy. You cannot go wrong vacationing on this beach!

This was a fantastic beach to visit, but very crowded. One thing that was nice was the beach was very large, dogs are allowed, and there are lifeguards. There were some areas roped off in red that are sea turtle nesting sites and are protected areas on the beach. This place was awesome, but crowded.

Lots of parking & easy access to beach. Life guards on duty all day. Restrooms are available next to the parking lot, along with showers and changing rooms. There is a board walk and steps to get over the dunes to the beach. There is also a look-out platform above the dune that is handicapped accessible. Lot is only about... More

The new group of guards seems to change daily. One set was spending way too much time on their own physique, doing sit ups and squats when folks were out swimming. The later one this week were much better!!

Beautiful, undeveloped beach. The waves and surf were strong. It was fun to play in. However, I would not recommend this beach for young children because of how strong the waves are. Before trying other beaches in Ocracoke, try out this lifeguarded beach before trying other beaches on the island. We were staying in Rodanthe and the waves were way... More

Who doesn't love a beach? This one is clean, not overly crowded and there is a lifeguard. This time we sat outside the lifeguard area because I had my dog. Parking and bathrooms available. An awesome day!

It is so nice to go to a beach that is not crowded, dirty and loud! This beach is peaceful, clean and you don't have to fight for a space to put your stuff. Love it!
