And that's saying something, because we had a great time on Ocracoke. But sailing at sunset on the Windfall II was the best part. It's a rather small schooner with only room for 6, so much depends on the other guests. We were lucky--just one other couple who were charming and even shared their wine. We sailed the calm waters... Thanks for the great review. It's always fun to see complete strangers come together for a sail and end up sharing their wine and their stories. It's one of the reasons I never tire of these trips. We hope to se you again on your next visit to Ocracoke! More

We loved our evening spent on the schooner. It was a beautiful evening well spent. Captain Rob was a great sailor and host. He shared his knowledge of the island and its colorful history. I'm sure he has shared this with hundreds of folks, yet made it fresh and personal for us. My husband was reluctant to go, but in... More

We went out with Captain Rob and his lovely daughter Caroline on our last night in Ocracoke. The sky was a little cloudy, but it was a beautiful night out on the water. An extremely enjoyable sail with three other adults (I believe six is the most they will take out). Captain Rob gave us an excellent history of Blackbeard's... More

The sail was amazing. Captain Rob is terrific! He knows tons of history about the island and black beard and is a joy to talk with. We loved every bit of it.

My wife and I arrived on Ocracoke on Saturday evening after doing the Lighthouses of the OBX and Wright Brothers Memorial just in time to catch the Schooner Windfall II for an evening sail. What a relaxing and gorgeous way to end our day. Captain Rob and Emmet did their best to give us a little Blackbeard history, some island... More

We were 15min into a sunset cruise when the steering broke and we had to turn back! Bad luck. Yet in that short time we enjoyed watching how nicely the crew pulled up the sails and the boat sailed along. When the steering broke, the captain used the two propellers to guide us back into the docks, no problem! Amazing!... More

We went on a sunset cruise aboard the Wilma Lee with Captain Rob. We had a beautiful evening. We saw a spectacular sunset and the moonrise over Silver Lake. We took our toddler and baby. My two year-old enjoyed it very much. We were able to bring light snacks on board. We spent $90 for our family of four. We'll... More

You won't want to miss a trip with Captain Rob Temple and crew on the Wind Fall II or the Wilma Lee. I've been on both and have treasured memories! There is nothing like being out on the water under sail at sunset! This is a must-do for the entire family. I brought my newborn daughter on the Wind Fall... More

Sailing with Captain Rob is a grand Ocracoke experience. We went out in the late afternoon on the Wilma Lee, a beautifully restored historic skipjack, a large oyster boat. It was fascinating to watch the teamwork between Rob and bis teenage son Emmet, whose maturity goes far beyond his years. Rob's sailing skills are superb and the views from the... More

Best money spent on the island. The captain and his crew were friendly and made it the perfect sunset sail. It was worth every penny and then some. Thank you for a great experience!
