While taking a late October trip to the island for the second Annual Piratefest, we discovered the last show of the season at the Deepwater Theater. We shared a delightful evening with about 20 other guests enjoying a concert by Molasses Creek, a local, but well traveled, folk group. I felt like we were part of the "family". They were... More

Great music in a small theater which home to Molasses Creek, when they aren't touring. They can sing it all... blue grass, blues, country, broadway, ballads. We were there in October 2013 but there wasn't a selection that far back. Can't wait to hear them again this fall.

Excellent musical groups, wonderful story tellers, good price. No problems. Why this is not 50 characters is beyond me.

This small community theatre gets used A LOT. There are the weekly Opry and Molasses Creek theatre shows as well as some art classes. I believe the ghost tour even meets there in bad weather. The Opry was the only event we attended at the Deepwater Theater and it is well worth the price. The songs were varied and spirited... More

We really enjoyed this island music showcase. It was a real mix, including the professional musicians from Molasses Creek, local storytellers and entertainers, and others. The best parts were locals really having fun performing. We were least entertained by a supposedly professional female pop singer and most enjoyed the local shop owner who threw herself into "Just what I needed."... More

I purchased the tickets in advance online. They do not e-mail them to you. They e-mail you a confirmation and it says, "will call." I was on the island several days and honestly forgot all about the Ocrafolk Opry tickets I purchased in advance until I got home and was going through my e-mails related to my vacation. I realized... We enjoyed the show SO much! There are some amazing musicians here on Ocracoke! We just moved here and are really interested in the local music scene. Well worth the price of tickets!

Local talent is wonderful and the simple room and the storytellers and musicians are all that you need for a great time. I actually attended an interview with local watermen. Very informative and exciting to learn about the local people and their pull to work on the water.

World-class entertainment! We went as a family of four, including my toddler and baby. We all had a fantastic time. We saw Molasses Creek. The theater is small, but comfortable; it felt like I was in someone's living room listening to music. We are adding this to our list of must-do when visiting our favorite outer banks location! Just use... More
