Fresh fish sandwich was tasty. Beer was cold. Fries were fried. Overall, not a bad lunch sitting by the marina in the village.

I visit by boat several times a year. Great help docking, friendly service, nice casual bar/grill on the dock, and motel with probably the best view on the island. Bill, the owner, is all over the place, and you have never met anyone nicer. Bill and Marco, on the dock, make life easy for us boaters.

Went there several times to get a beer and watch the boats come in with their catch. Fun place, friendly, good to get the scoop on where to go on the island from the locals

We had a great meal and conversation with the locals at the Marina. Greta deals on fishing charters if you have a group. The meals were fine and beer was cold. It was a beautiful fall day with blue skies and friendly staff, A great place to enjoy the island. Beautiful boats of all sizes. Come and do a little... More

I really enjoyed watching the boats come in and drinking a beer or two. The food was good, nothing special.

So, the family is ready to do a half day rental and gunkhole around Pamlico Sound, pay tribute to Teach's Hole (where Blackbeard literally lost his head) and visit desolate Portsmouth Island. We look at the radar and the storm that we thought was moving east decided to head right for us. The chart was red and yellow all around.... More

As a female, I have not always found dock masters to be very friendly or cordial. This is not true of the dock master and his staff at the Anchorage Marina. I was recently in charge of coordinating a trip to Ocracoke for our yacht club. Bill Gilbert and his staff at the marina were extremely easy to work with.... More

We sat outside at the bar and listened to music and had a few beers in a great outdoor atmosphere. Music at 2:00 in the afternoon was a pleasant surprise. Beer prices were reasonable. Boats come in at 4:00 and unload their catch from the day. Make this a must stop if you're on the island.

Room on the 3rd floor was very nice with a 'picture perfect' view of the harbor. Very helpful staff with local recommendations. Would definitely stay again on next outer banks trip.

We stayed at the Anchorage Inn for three days and two nights. It was a perfect location for exploring the village of Ocracoke by foot and golf cart. Golf carts were available directly across from the Inn. We explored the village by golf cart, and then walked for the rest of our visit. The inn was clean, and the proprietor... More
