Great family fun...learn about our special little place and the wonderful North Carolina coastline. Visit the touch tank with your children or grandchildren. There are special events during the summer, so check their calendar when you arrive!

The Museum of Coastal Carolina is a locally supported museum with a diversity on displays for all to enjoy. Their hourly discussion group at the touch tank is especially interesting and will simply bring smiles and intrigue to the young and adults alike. There is a small admission fee and a gift shop to bring home mementoes of your visit.

This is a very nice local museum. It has very nice exhibits that are relative to the local area. The exhibits are very dynamic and cover many things. They also have things that are interesting to little ones as well. Overall very nice.

A small museum that was very nice way to spend an hour or so. Children would really enjoy it with the Seashore Touch Tank. They had more things than i expected and the docents were very knowledgeable. They also have a small gift shop. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Great exhibits of sharks and shells. Lots of information is a relatively small space. Touch tank was a great hit to the children visiting when I was there.

This is a very nice place to go to get away from the heat of the beach. The people working are always very friendly and they give a great military discount. It's very educational. My favorite place is the touch tank. It's nice to just stop and watch everything move around and interact. I would definitely recommend this museum. If... More

If its raining, get here early! If you are in the Ocean Isle Beach/Holden Beach/Sunset Beach area, with kids....check out this museum and planetarium. The museum is actually on Ocean Isle and not only includes numerous exhibits, but also a touch-tank for children. A very nice playground is just next door. Planetarium is in the Sunset Beach area and offers... More

First off I live at Ocean Isle and my wife volunteers at the museum and plantarium. The museum is a hidden gem while you are at the beach. It is great for children and adults alike when you consider the lectures with just a visit to see the exhibits that include all the shells, Indian displays, animals, touch tank, tide... More

The Museum is a great place to take the kids for a fun and educational adventure. The kids were given a scavenger hunt to complete while exploring. They were even given a small prize for completing it. The touch tank was great and the museum staff had lots of interesting facts to share about all of the animals. It is... More
