It was nice to have the museum within walking distance from our house. It was educational and a good change when you don't feel like it being a "beach day".

My husband and I visit this little museum every year when we come to OIB for vacation. They are great to military families. This year we came with a couple of kids and they loved it! They give kids a scavenger hunt to do, which was a lot of fun. They really enjoyed the touch tank and the bridge area.... More

We had a little extra time so we stopped by and looked around. Every room was interesting. We especially loved the touch tank where you can touch horseshoe crabs and sea anemia. Great place if you have some spare time.

This is a wonderful place to visit, you can be as quick or as slow as you like. Everyone working there is a volunteer and you can see they enjoy what they are doing. $9 to get in and that goes to help support the turtle project at OIB area, if you are visiting between May and September you may... The place is a bit dated, but my 2 and 4 year old did not mind. Don't expect much in the way of live animals, since they really only have a touch tank and two aquariums. But my kids loved the place anyway. Lots of old school dioramas, the largest of which displays many underwater creatures in full size. This... More

This was a great place to get out of the weather and learn some things about the local wildlife. It is not huge, but a good size for kids. Adults would also enjoy this museum.
