Our captain and first mate were both very friendly. Our first mate was very informative and educational. The captain was able to us to the dolphins and keep us moving so everyone on board could get a great picture. The first mate was even able to help us get our camera to the right setting for our pictures. She also... More

I was very nervous about spending the money and booking this expedition, as it was not cheap. However it was worth every single penny!! We arrived at 9:40am got our boarding passes and waited while the boat was checked over by the Captain and Maggie. We heard them talking about how low the water was (due to few days of... More

Everyone in our group enjoyed this cruise - even the 2 1/2 & 4 yr. old. In fact the youngest one would yell dolphin every time he spotted one. We went the 2nd week in September & left out of the Manteo location. When I made the reservation, I was told to turn on a street by a local restaurant.... More

They run it out of 2 different locals..... As I mentioned above, we opted for the Whalebone site, it was closer to our hotel. The meeting place is located in a YELLOW building with a BLUE roof. We had to go in to redeem our confirmation and grab our boarding pass. There is a bathroom just past the office. It... More

This was such a treat! The weather was perfect, the naturalist was so incredibly informative and so pleasant. We saw countless dolphins. Our kids learned so much. This was NOT geared towards kids. I would NOT bring kids under 5 on this ride - there were several one and two year olds and they did nothing but cry.

Geared to kids. Many kids & baby on tour so expect screaming & crying. Cruise was shorter than website said and we really only went to one area in the sound. Lots of Dolphins. Hoped that they would have told us more about the other wildlife and area. Like I said before it's geared towards kids. Would be nice if... More

We took the 5:30 sunset tour which was absolutely beautiful. Saw lots of Dolphins and one of them had a plastic ring stuck on its body, which was sad to see. The Captain took us to Wanchese Harbor and I was able to get some amazing sunset pictures. It was a very pleasant evening on the water.

We went on this tour on a Friday morning and the boat was full, but not so much so that we couldn't see. We came up on dolphins pretty quickly and the guides did a great job at staying with them so we got the max amount of time to watch them possible. This was definitely worth the trip. The... More

We wanted to see some Dolphins, and that is what we got! Our tour guide, Tara, was energetic, knowledgeable, and great with the kids! I really like how the tour guides are interns and studying dolphins for school and they are collecting data as we are on the tour. Not only were we enjoying the tour but I felt like... More
