This was a fun time and the dunes were amazing! I underestimated just how hot it would be out there and definitely wished I had worn a hat and even more sunscreen. Amazing views.

Top notch NC park. A great walk up the highest dune on the East Coast. Good facilities as well. Take a Kite!

We've be to OBX before, but tonight's visit was our first to Jockey Ridge. We were advised to be on the dunes for sunset and were not disappointed. I can't wait to come back next year to make sure we walk the nature trail and play in the sand. I'm 60 years old, and I am going to roll down... More

You have to check these dunes out. You can watch hang gliders go off of them, kids riding sleds down them, wildlife is abundant and it's just one of those things you have to see. Free admission! Can't beat it...

Our group of over 40 children and adults enjoyed our visit. Most kids and teens enjoyed the dune. Rest of us watched from observation area.

My husband and I are retired, but we both made it to the top of the largest dune. We've been there twice, once in Sept. when the weather was nice, and last week (June) when... More

Been to the Outer Banks several times, but this was our first time to Jockey's Ridge. Not really much to do there except climb the gigantic sand dune, which is what our boys wanted to do. My husband and I didn't want to hike up the sand, so we walked to the visitor's center and took pictures as the boys... More

My family of five went to the beach at jockeys. It's awesome. It's only about knee deep for over a mile and a half out. My husband and I were able to sit on the beach while kids played in the water. No surf no current. No lifeguards so just a caution. Parking lot is very small so get there... More
