We have done numerous guided tours in all sorts of places but Squad Car Tours is absolutely the best ever. If you are fortunate enough to have D.C. Rawley as your driver/tour guide it will be even more memorable. He is a wealth of knowledge and insight on Mount Airy and Andy Griffith.
Mr. Rawley should be designated as the...

We took this tour with another couple last year and went with Roger. He was very friendly and informative. He spent about 75 percent of the tour showing us all around the Mayberry highlights and giving us loads of fun facts about Andy Griffith, the other characters in the show, and Andy's early years. The remaining time was spent on...

Perfect for the true Mayberry/Andy Griffith fan. $30 a carload and one great tour of Mayberry/Mt. Airy. Very informative. While you are waiting for your tour to start, go get a picture of yourself in Otis's cell. All in all one heck of a deal.

We did the squad tour first thing after arriving in Mt. Airy, it gave us a great overview of the town, including the history, points of interest and layout of the roads. This was good value and it's dog friendly.

This was the forth year of doing the squad tour. The second with DC as a guide. Money well spent for the car ride. DC told very interesting stories.

If you're a fan of the Andy Griffith Show, you should take in one of these tours. First of all, you take the tour in a squad car like those used in the series. Our guide was funny, knowledgeable and kind. He gave us an entertaining ride around Mount Airy during which he shared fun vignettes about the career of...

Mt Airy is a walking town with most attractions within a few blocks. Walked down to Wally's Service Station and saw the Squad Car Tours. I was the only one there and decided to take the tour. D.C was my driver and he was fantastic. It was like stepping back in time. He grew up in Mt Airy with Andy...
