Our vineyards were established on farms that have been in our families for generations. We hope you enjoy the culmination of our dreams, our devotion to our farmland, and our passion for our wines produced at Old North State Winery. Most of our wines start out as luscious wine grapes grown on Yadkin Valley North Carolina family farms. We are the Old North State Winery, Inc. located in Mount Airy, in the headwaters of the Yadkin Valley AVA. Wine, beer and fine foods are our passion and our legacy. « less

We received some notice about this place so had some expectations. It was over crowded and the service was sub par. The patrons were loud and obnoxious I would not go again.

This was not the vineyard I was expecting when we set GPS to get there, but then again, it's called a winery, not a vineyard... Situated in downtown Mt. Airy, also known as Mayberry, ONS Winery and Brewery has a great selection of wines and craft brews made onsite. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was excellent, and they had... More

Stopped here on a motorcycle trip on the Blueridge parkway and had to see "Mayberry" The town is very cute and fun to walk around. We went into this restaurant not really sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. You can order food and sit where you would like or we sat at the bar. My husband had a... More

Found this place by accident, while visiting Mount Airy with some out of town family. The sandwiches were great. I didn't love the pasta salad but I can recommend the potato salad. I had the muscadine wine (which has an interesting smell but tastes great). Others in our group had local beer and said it was good. Service was good,... More

My wife and I dropped in with another couple. The inside looks great. Unfortunately, we didn’t take advantage of the beer or wine tasting as we already had an afternoon of beer and wine tasting booked throughout the rest of the day. We really just popped in to grab a quick bite after we had spent the morning checking out... More

We only had wine here, but our choices were good! The appetizers served around us looked tempting too. We bought some wine to bring home with us.

We enjoyed at the food and ambiance of this winery. The location was at the end of Main Street and very easy to access the sites of the town.

Dropped in for a tasting and was pleasantly surprised. Savannah wasa friendly and informative hostess. Enjoyed the reds and purchased 4 bottles. Friends bought a case of reds and whites. Had a great turkey club sandwich on a croissant. Friends had a veggies on a baguette, Philly cheese, and Kickin chicken and all loved the lunch. A 10 in my... More

We dropped in for a quick tasting while in Mt. Airy for the day, recently. I wasn't blown away by their wines but they did have an extensive tasting and the server was very friendly. Purchased a bottle as a gift for friends. Thought it was a little strange though, that they charged more to drink IN the winery than... More

We stopped in because we had a LivingSocial deal for a wine tasting. We ended up going right as the winery opened and the tasting was done by Jenna, who is the Marketing director for ONS. She was great, and very accommodating. The wines are great. She seemed very knowledgeable and engaging. We even stayed and had lunch from the... More
