Owner description: Old North State Winery started as a cooperative in 2002 and has since evolved into a winery owned by two families with one vision. Our vineyards were established on farms that have been in our families for generations. We hope you enjoy the culmination of our dreams, our devotion to our farmland, and our passion for our wines produced at Old North State Winery. Most of our wines start out as luscious wine grapes grown on Yadkin Valley North Carolina family farms. We are the Old North State Winery, Inc. located in Mount Airy, in the headwaters of the Yadkin Valley AVA. Wine, beer and fine foods are our passion and our legacy.

Stopped by to pick up some of my favorite wine. It was lunch time and the restaurant we were hoping to have lunch at was totally booked. Saw the menu at Old North State and decided to give it a try. We were very happy with our decision. Taylor suggested the Reuben and said that the Riesling paired well with... More

The main room at Old North State is very open and inviting, with dark wood and a smattering of tables throughout. Bar service can be a little slow when busy, but that's to be expected as it's one of the few places in town to get a drink and relax late night. They have a good selection of wines and... More

We drive an hour just to come here and have a glass of wine on our days off. We live Ashley, she's a great addition to the team, very friendly and bubbly. They are 1 of 2 wineries that we like ALL of the wines they offer. Their food is inexpensive and always fresh. The cute little town of Mayberry... More

My husband and I stopped here on our trip from Canton, OH to Pawleys Island, SC. It was a great place to stop for a quick beverage! The bartender was very accommodating and it was very enjoyable to sit on the front patio area while enjoying a drink.

We got to taste the wine from this brewery the night before our visit to Mt. Airy. Very tasty! Then we decided to do lunch there the next day. The sandwiches were very tasty. I had a Turkey wrap with Pasta Salad and my friends both had the Reuben with fruit. Very good food! Of course, We had to buy... More

Love the wine. Attentive staff. And they put the ECU game on for me! I like the casual atmosphere. My biggest pet peeve when I go to bar is not having back on the chair...that'd not a worry here! All seating is comfortable and they can accommodate 2 or 200. Very clean and organized. Food menu is tasty and reasonably... More

We received some notice about this place so had some expectations. It was over crowded and the service was sub par. The patrons were loud and obnoxious I would not go again.

This was not the vineyard I was expecting when we set GPS to get there, but then again, it's called a winery, not a vineyard... Situated in downtown Mt. Airy, also known as Mayberry, ONS Winery and Brewery has a great selection of wines and craft brews made onsite. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff was excellent, and they had... More

Stopped here on a motorcycle trip on the Blueridge parkway and had to see "Mayberry" The town is very cute and fun to walk around. We went into this restaurant not really sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. You can order food and sit where you would like or we sat at the bar. My husband had a... More
