The History Place is small but its exhibits accurately reflect the flavor of the Crystal Coast heritage including a military display appropriate for an area so close to a military base and with a history of battles during the civil war.

This is a very nice and very informative museum if you have any curiosity about the history of the Beaufort/Morehead City areas. It's a very comprehensive museum and details the various ways of life in this area for 50+ years. I found it quite fascinating. It's not a very big place, but they pack a lot of information in it...

Its a touch boring but its free. Nothing really to get worked up about. Has some good information on the history of the area and the families that are here.
