This was a great way to spend a couple hours, getting up close and personal with a variety of animals. I still can't get over seeing Zebra's in my car window in the middle of North Carolina! I look forward to coming back here with other friends/family.

Allow several hours for your visit. I think we went through rather quickly & we were here for 3 hours! We obeyed the rules & did not feed or touch the Zebras- although the Zebras don't seem to know there is rules about them. They try to get food & stick their faces in your windows. The reason is unclear-... More

My team at work did an outing at lazy 5. We had a blast! The wagon ride is a must try- just wear old clothes and bring a change with you in case an animal rubs up next to you! Despite the criticism the animals appear to be well taken care of. Employees are very nice. I will go back... More

We visited this place on an east coast road trip and actually had a lot of fun. I recommend taking a tour on one of the wagons and not driving in your personal vehicle. It seemed like we were having a lot more fun than the people in the cars. You get close enough to the animals that they can... More

We had not been to the Lazy 5 in many years. Now we have a granddaughter who is 3.5 years old and we wanted to take her! Because the drive through is so slow, (there are lots of pot-bellied pigs that amble around on the roads) we took her out of her carseat and let her sit on the console.... More

Our families first visit . Up close and personal encounter with animals that you would never get that close to in a zoo. Fun and exciting for the whole family !

Took two five year old grandchildren and had a fun time. Would recommend the wagon ride over a simple car drive through the animal park, you get a guide (driver) and can go slightly off the beaten path. For our first time visiting I would say we faired well with learning the ropes. There seems to be an information disconnect... More

What a wonderful variety of birds and animals. Our previous animal park experience in another state cost 50% more, had a third less animals and charged extra for a small cup of "approved animal feed." Instead of paying extra to feed the animals and birds we were provided all the 1.5 quart buckets of feed we could use. On the... More

I have been to Lazy 5 Ranch several times now with my grandchildren and I absolutely love it! There are some things I would recommend and that is to arrive early if you plan to take the horse ride to feed the animals (which should be a must) as the animals get satiated later during the day and don't come...
