**Be aware that there are a lot of stairs to climb to get to the registration and ticketing. I returned to The Pit after a year to play black-light mini-golf and saw some brand new bumper cars. After golf, I went to get tickets for the bumper cars, but they were $5 each for a 3-minute ride. Too expensive for... More

With temperatures over 95 degrees this past week, it was time to take a little break from Lake Norman and find a destination with our kids, ages 10 and 13. We aren't regular go-kart enthusiasts so The Pit was a step up for us with helmets required, higher speeds and separate racing for adults and kids. The kids had a... More

Went with extended family (4 adults and 5 kids) to the Pit as a fun little excursion on a hot summer day! Processing - They ask EVERY person to log on to their system (computer) that will be getting or experiencing anything at the park. Not a fan. Then the pricing is very vague and what we considered expensive. You... More

As someone who is a frequent go-kart racer, I do not like The Pit. I haven't been back for quite some time because there are better alternatives in this area. The starts are spread which makes for zero racing. I get that this style of kart racing is a time based style of "racing,' but honestly the majority of people... More

I'm sorry your experience wasn't better. Our races are time based, as are the majority of indoor tracks. We send karts out with just enough space in between to prevent accidents in the first couple of turns. We put up to 12 karts on the track at one time, so there is plenty of racing to be had. Our track... More

This place had me wondering when I saw an empty parking lot, but we looooved it!! What a great idea for a huge old building. We raced, played mini golf, shot cannons at each other, and played on the bumper cars. Best part, we had the whole place to ourselves! Perfect date night.

I was in NC for an extended weekend with some old college friends, and we decided to come here for some fun on Saturday night. We did not end up riding the go-karts, if you do not have reservations you'll most likely have to wait 1-2 hours; but they offered races for kids and adults so it ranged from all... More

I live in Mooresville and had never been to The Pit; so my rating is solely based on my overall impression of the facility. First -- lots of Stairs! Stairs to get in and then more stairs to check in! I checked out the Black Light Golf -- hmmm the area was behind a curtain... There's a GREAT open area... More

My group went for the black light golf. It was a great course, but here are some of the drawbacks. There are a lot, lot of stairs to climb. This was a challenge for one in our party. If you go, thinking you can just drive one of the karts, there is a class and certification to go through first.... More

I’m glad you enjoyed our black light mini golf. Your review indicates you visited us in July 2014. The later part of that month we migrated to a new computer system that greatly simplifies the registration process. We now only require your name and birth date. We do have a wheel chair ramp from the parking lot to the track... More

I had an incredible time with a large group at this facility. We used a large meeting room in the morning for some meetings, then had track time booked in the afternoon for a group of about 15. We had some initial laps to familiarize ourselves with the track and karts, then after a short break, had time trials to... More

Paid for a 1 year membership season pass online and as it turns out that is only good for a discount on ONLY Lazer Tag and Go Karts and 1 free ride 1 time...Talk about false advertising!!! Very disappointed!! The young girls working there were clueless and no help answering any questions. I didn't think the indoor track was ventilated... More

We’re sorry your experience didn’t meet your expectations. I assume you are referring to the Group On deal. It is advertised as the annual membership plus 1 race for $19.00. It does not say “season pass”. The membership is normally $15 and a single member race is $20, so you received a $35 value for $19. Membership entitles you to... More
