Loved that my 9 year old could race in his own cart. It was big. Certainly lots to do other than racing, but that's all we did. Had a great time & worth the visit!
It seemed like a great idea: take my 14 y/o son to an indoor go-kart track for a little fun with mom... was I wrong about that idea. after a 45 minute wait in line to 'register' at computers that crashed every few minutes, I learned that The Pit doesn't allow parents and kids to drive at the same time.... We obviously handled the entire situation poorly. Our growth has overwhelmed our computer system and we have been in the process of moving to a better system that can handle the added volume. The new system started on 07/15/14. Unfortunately it doesn’t do away with the registration process. We are required by both the State and our insurance company to... More
By far the best event for your money is the 100 lap enduro race they generally have once a month. You find out real quick if you can drive or if you can't. Overall this place is pricey, but I'd rather race here than a place where the carts go 2 mph.
We took a little break from the enduro in May and June, but will look at bringing it back in July. Always a good turn out and the drivers have a blast. We're glad you enjoyed it and look forward to your next race. More
Went to play their putt putt and wildly disappointed. First, the place is nearly run down and hardly an establishment. We felt uneasy about leaving our stuff in the car. Second to play putt putt, they want each person playing to register as a member. Name, address, email, phone number, date of birth, username, password, on and on and on...... More
We're sorry your experience at The Pit wasn't enjoyable. The proliferation of lawsuits has made it a requirement by our insurance company that we obtain liability waivers on all participants. Some of the information you list was noted as optional and we do not use the information for anything other than identification. If you provide your e-mail address then you... More
Had family in from out of town with teenagers. We went and raced the carts, very fast, we had a coupon which saved us money. The cost without was a little pricey. The arcade was nice and we played lazor tag as well.
This place has all the makings for a fun afternoon but sadly we were disappointed. There is long line for everything. A line to register with computers that are malfunctioning. No staff to direct the first timer. Another line after registering to purchase. Oh but wait again for your choice of activity, I'm talking another hour or more. Ridiculous. If... More
I'm sorry your experience wasn't better. With the Easter holidays we were overwhelmed. Our facility can only process so many people and the numbers here are Friday and Saturday exceeded anything we have ever experienced, setting records both days for attendance. We are looking at how to streamline the process, but we do have a limited capacity. More
The best Kart track I've ever experienced. Has to be one of the biggest indoor tracks in the country. High speed, challenging, non-intrusive staff. We've entertained here regularly and even hosted a business meeting on the premises. Kind of pricey, but worth it.
This was my first visit to The Pit in Mooresville. The staff is very friendly. The facility was well laid out and had a fun vibe. I will go again. Now for the constructive criticism..... The staff is very friendly but they need to get their act together when it comes to lining up the karts for each race. They... More
I'm glad you enjoyed your visit. We strive to have the next race loaded and ready while the karts are still on the track. There are times when that is not possible. If there are not enough karts available, or we're running back to back youth races, then we have to unload the first race, straighten out the pit road... More
Everytime my grandson comes up to visit we go to the pit, it is our favorite place. good atmospere, clean and very family oriented.
After crashing into a wall my son has whiplash and bruises from the harness he was wearing. The boys working on the track yelled at me and would not let him out of the cart. Made him drive all the way around and wait for the rest of the racers to finish before letting him get out of his cart.... More
I'm sorry your experience wasn't satisfactory. The waiver you signed specifically directs those participating to watch a safety video. The cashiers should have directed you to the safety video room when they gave you your headsock and race ticket. For safety reasons, drivers are not permitted to get out of the kart on the track, nor are spectators permitted inside... More
