If paying for noise, glitter, scented rooms and beach prices is one's idea of coming to the beach, then this is not the place to visit. Down here the parking is still free...advice, warm and personal...strolling out to beyond the waves, no charge...friendly pelicans seemingly positioned for best shot and a view fit for anyone's post card..."selfie" or not, they... Since residing down here for little over a year this is the only pier that I go too. I absolutely love Kure Beach and going to the pier especially during fishing season. Never had any problem with parking. If you cant park right next to pier go back up to the intersection and crossover and park along where Big Daddys... More

I have shopped, fished and just sat and watched other vacationers for the past 15 years. It is beautiful and a fantastic way to just relax and have a great time.

I've visited the beach/pier roughly twice a month for the last 6 years. Always easy to find free parking nearby and the fishing fees are lower than most of the other piers in the area. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. I must admit that I didn't catch as many fish this year as in years past. Even without... More

Great visit off-season. Was able to park with ease and enjoy all that the beach and the pier had to offer. While the 'town' area is kind of small it's rather charming. The town has done a great job keeping this area clean and the boardwalk looked pretty new. Great place to walk and relax by the water. Worth a... More

My husbands family goes on vacation in Kure Beach every year. It is a really relaxing environment and great for families. Not real touristy and I even took my sister-in-laws engagement pictures on the pier.

It is a long pier, and gives you a great view of the ocean. Walk to the end and look at the shoreline. It is a busy place, with many active fisherman, and all willing to talk about the great catch they've made. This is a simple place for a break, and worthwhile.

Even in October, there were plenty of fishermen at the end of the pier. It's a great place to view the picturesque coastline, and then take a long walk on the beach. It's not a good place to find shells, but the gentle breeze and rolling waves make for a relaxing day. Thankfully it's not as crowded with houses and... More

The pier itself is timeless. Looks like a site from a movie! The pier was packed with people fishing and there were lots of dead fish on the rails so there were plenty of native birds all around. The views from the end of the pier were beautiful.
