We are so glad that we were encourage to choose Kure Beach over some of the other options. The beach was clean and the very noticable law enforcement presence made it a safe place to spend a day.

As piers go this is an OK pier. Certainly would not go out of my way to visit it. The store at base of pier is pretty old and could do with an overhaul. If you like to fish - I don't - this may be a good pier for that.

We walked put on the pier and found a nice shady bench to sit on and watch the ocean. We also watched the fishermen fish and the pelican steal their bait. It was a nice relaxing way to enjoy the afternoon. And you didn't have to pay to walk on pier like you do at other piers. If you want... More

Take a walk on the pier...there are lots of fishermen at sunset so watch for fishing poles. The pelicans are friendly and so are the people.

I cannot figure out why vacationers seeking relaxation go to places like Myrtle Beach to "get away from it all." I don't want to deal with crowds, stress, traffic jams, and tourist traps while on vacation! Kure Beach is for those who truly want to unwind and get away. The Kure Beach Pier is always a stop for my family.... More

Do not believe the bad reviews of this pier. The locals here are some of the best and friendliest in the state and always helpful. The inside store/arcade/bait shop doors not stink as some say and it is always clean the staff is very friendly and helpful. I've been coming here since the 80s. And never had a problem. In... More

I've been coming to Kure Beach for years and really love spending time at the pier when there. It's a great place to sit and watch the waves roll in,people fishing or spending time on the beach, and the surfers riding the waves. There's some benches next to the shop just before walking out on the pier and if you... More
