This is the oldest fishing pier on the Atlantic, and it seems like it probably the longest! Nice for a walk on a breezy day. The view from it was just unbelieveable. Plus, the local wildlife frequents the pier as well.

We went at the right time of year, not too crowded. Easy parking, great family trip! We loved it ! Wish it was longer! Enjoyed going out at night catching crabs, running away from the crabby pelicans, getting sun tanned, and enjoyed a relaxing weekend! Definitely recommend, and hope it stays uncrowded because we will definitely be visiting again soon!

Nice long fishing pier with great views of the shoreline. Fun to see the fish being pulled in. If you like fishing you need to check it out.

I almost don't want to give a review because I don't want to attract too many more people from the beaches a few miles north but this place was perfect. We had NO trouble getting close parking (on a weekend in August) which is impossible on Wrightsville beach. The beach was busy but not overly crowded. There was a lifeguard... More

Nice walk and view. There were pelicans on the pier waiting to be fed. Free if just walking and not fishing.

The only thing Carolina Beach Pier has over Kure Beach is that Carolina has a grill but Kure does have a few places within walking distance to eat at. Kure Pier does real ice cream cones and has a small arcade and small store.

It's free for anybody to just walk out or hang out on the pier. You pay a little if you want to fish. The store seemed to carry beach chairs, towels, flip-flops for good prices and has a bathroom. Even though we were not expert fishermen, the other guys on the pier helped us get started. One very nice man... More

No cost to walk the pier. Runners: three laps to end of pier and back is a mile. Families: take kids at night to see Pelicans just sitting on pier. The pier is great- the shop inside is old and not updated and has shady dudes playing pool. Open 24 hrs.

We love this place for many reasons. The parking is free, which is great. Its usually not to crowded, but we like to come earlier in the day for better parking and claiming our favorite spot under the pier. My husband like to fish from the top, the kids like to play and board in the water I like the... More
