Wonderful stroll to end our vacation

Walked the pier after dinner at Freddie's. Holding hands with my husband, under the stars. Perfect end to our evening. Met a little girl fishing with her dad.

Kure Beach, NC is a beautiful strip of land jutting out into the Atlantic Ocean and, if you are in the area, you will want to walk this pier and take in the 360 degree views. The pier takes you approximately 1/8 mile (200 m) beyond the low tide mark which is not somewhere a "normal" swim would take you.... More

Kure beach has easy access to the ocean, walking paths, large bathrooms , play ground, swings, along the beach access are water stations to spray the sand off, all right across the street from the Kure Beach Fishing Pier. Several Restaurants are within the same block. And for now the parking along the walkway is free. The Fishing Pier charges... More

Each year the pier donates full access to over 300 special needs people. They come from all over the area to enjoy this relaxing day of fishing. The local "Got Em On" club coordinates the activity by providing rods and reels, terminal equipment, bait and assistance to all that come. Local merchants provide breakfast, snacks, lunch, and prizes for the... More

It's hit and miss with the staff some are friendly some not so much but will help you if u need it. Snacks n such all a little pricey but they have what you'll need if u forget something.

We didn't fish off the pier but we walked all the way down and back. It was a nice pier and had lots of space if you wanted to fish. The nice thing about it is you didn't have to pay to walk out there like some piers do.

We always stop here to enjoy the pier, the beach, and the view. It is always uncrowded and we can easily access the beach. The pier store is helpful with public restrooms (can be used for changing). Would only recommend that they NOT run out of beach towels...had to run to another store.

The pier is free to walk on. Its neat to see all the activity out there! The shop has a great selection of nick knacks and beach goods.

This place just talks to me. I'm there and all is right with my world. Takes me back through the decades with that atmosphere I cherish from childhood. I return EVERY DAY of my week long visit to browse through the gift shop, have some ice cream and soak up what being at the beach is all about. AND I... More

The pier itself was OK. Didn't go out on it because I am terrified of this type thing. The pier "gift shop" was dirtier than I remember. Seems to be a lot of drifter type people hanging out. Their souveniers were over priced, dirty and dusty. Couldn't get out fast enough.
