We drove 700 miles to be with inlaws for the release of a new Silent NIght porter and although this was really not whole reason from coming to NC, it was certainly worth the effort. The tap room is very light and airy and very pleasant. For me the highlight of the trip was not necessarily the beer [although it... More

Let me start by saying that Mother Earth was one of my very favorite places! My partner and I live about three hours away and we visit Kinston about every three or four months to get away and be tourists - we have always had a good time. Mother Earth has the BEST beer - we order their beer from... More

Really good german-style beer, nice bar, friendly bartender. It was chilly, so we didn't sit in the beer garden outside, but it's cool there is an outdoor option. Nice place for drinks before grabbing dinner.

Mother Earth Brewery is a delightful place to visit and learn about brewing. The Tap Room is a clean and lively spot to sample the varieties of craft beer available and be introduced to seasonal offerings. The other visitors are friendly and not at all shy. You can bring your own food to enjoy at tables while you wait for... More

We took a detour over to Kinston after finishing a half day of cycling in the ride for MS event in New Bern. The tap room is a very cool place - offering great beer in a cool atmosphere, with the surprising treat of excellent live music. We brought in burgers from the Boiler Room across the street. The beer... More

On the way from Raleigh to the beach and finally got a chance to stop at Mother Earth. What took us so long?? Got there early before the evening crowd and sat down at the stainless bar. Very nice setup. Big bar with tables and sofas and chairs surrounding. Also a very nice outdoor area in the back. Very comfortable... More

We recently took a day trip to Kinston to check out a few spots we have been wanting to visit. My husband owns a restaurant and has served Mother Earth beer for a few years. The brewery is located downtown and has greatly helped to revitalize the area. They are in a city block of very cool original warehouse buildings,... More

With a name like Mother Earth you would expect a warm welcoming laid back feeling when you walk into the tasting room. This tasting room brought to mind a clinic. It had a cold un-personal feel to it and the gentlemen that served me were not very friendly either.

But it is! The beers are great, taproom is nice and comfortable. If you want to learn about the brewery or brewing process, take a tour! Occasionally they have a seasonal or specialty beer release party. This is nestled right in downtown next to several outstanding restaurants. Come give it a try and buy a flight to try several!

This place keeps getting more and more interesting. Now you can see the liquor distilling process in addition to the beer brewing. Plus, they've setup the Trading Post which is a gift shop where you can buy all kinds of Mother Earth souvenirs and limited run brews.
