From the first moment that you see solar panels on the ceiling, you know this isn't your usual find in Eastern North Carolina. Walking into the taproom makes you feel like you are leaving Kinston completely. While most of Kinston's downtown has the eternal feel of what Kinston was, Mother Earth is part of the what Kinston is becoming. The... More

Bit of an industrial interior with an interesting beer selection. Very knowledgeable staff. I still like a wooden bar better but two thumbs up anyway.

Very nice visit to see the brewing process of this local brewery. Several styles of beer made and sold on location. Stop in next time you are in Kinston.

Every year I wait for this brew. Special brewing for holidays only. It gets better every year. Just sought out the last 2 bottles in Kinston NC. Hoarding them in the frig. Hands off! Anxiously awaiting 2015 barrels. Other favorite brews include Old Neighborhood Oatmeal Porter and Dark Cloud. A must visit in Kinston!

Mother Earth Brewing has amazing beer and offers a great, informative tour for free on the hour, every hour while they are open. The 5-year-old brewery in Downtown Kinston is a repurposed building that used to be a literal drive-thru pharmacy and a BBQ joint. During the tour, our guide told us all about the process of brewing beer, the... More

Didn't get to the tour ran out of time but will do it next time. Did visit the bar and tried a few different beers. Everything was really good staff is very knowledgeable about the produces they have. So don't be afraid to tell them what you like and have them pair you up with some of the goodness right... More

Stop by for a beer and their selections are great and so is the beer. Great building and shop. Now for the bad part. You cannot hear yourself think in this place never mind the person sitting right next to you. The acoustics need some tweaking. Summer you can sit outside so not an issue. If you want to have... Kinston is trying to get gentrified, but it is hard to tell from the city streets. However, as soon as you walk into Mother Earth, you feel like they transported a W hotel lobby to eastern NC! We had a lovely time here and it is well worth the stop, even if you do not like beer. The tasting room... More

We went on Jan 2 the tap room bar keeper was great very social and informative. We enjoyed the tour although somewhat light in information but-we were only folks and again day after holiday. We had everything from the stout to pale ale and two in between. Don't base them on their out of date website give them a try.

Loved this little brewery. Wish we had been able to take the tour but didn't know about it in advance to make a reservation. Nice selection. Also a distillery for whiskey and gin. Tried to buy the whiskey at the local ABC but were told it had sold out in 1 day!
