Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville is a great place to take babies up til 8-9 years old....maybe even 10. Don't really know cause our 6 year old is out oldest. Anyways, from puppet shows to hands on exhibits, this place has it all. Very cool interactive children's museum that boasts it's own Fire Truck for kids to play with as... More

My 3 year old granddaughter loves Discovery Place Kids. The different play centers are wonderful. Kids can be a farmer, shopper, fireman, EMT, dancer, race car driver, etc. The centers are very realistic. There are things from the very young to older kids that would peak their interest. There is a huge craft room with all types of materials for... More

There are many different areas for children to play in, from crawlers to bigger kids. The membership is definitely the way to go if you are local. Afternoon hours seem to be less crowded, and since it isn't huge, the crowds make a big difference. I also wish they were open later than 5pm, but we still have plenty of... More

We recently went to the museum with 4 adults and 5 kids for a total cost of $80. We don't live in the area to buy a season pass so for visitors that can be a bit expensive for 3 hours of play. The kids had fun, there are a lot of activities and areas for the kids to explore.... More

A great place to take a small child to play and learn. There are small learning sessions presented during the day by staff that add to the fun. Our children were so excited that they ran from activity to activity and it is necessary for us to have one one one supervision or it is easy to lose track of... More

We took our 2 and a half year old grandson on a rainy summer day. The place was jam-packed with children, parents and grandparents. There was plenty of room, though, and everybody seemed to be having a good time. Our grandson loved the firetruck and the airplane in particular. I loved how the workings of a small town were right... More

I took my kids to Discovery Place Kids for the firs time after wanting to do it for a while and I'm glad we did. We got there right at 9am when they opened because it was during the summer and I knew this place would be a zoo by lunch time and I was RIGHT! By 10am the place... More

I went today and saw that their prices are $10.00 per person for everyone over one years old. That includes parents. I didn't like that parents had to pay full price and when I asked about it the cashier told me not to beat her up about it and told me I was being rude. I said something to the... More

Even though it is a bit of a drive from Charlotte, I recommend this over Discovery Place for smaller children. Hours of entertainment, cute puppet show. I would go early... We were there when it opened at 9am and it didn't get super crowded until around 11am, which is when we decided to leave. We will definitely come back on... More

This is an excellent children's museum. The cost is $10.00 for everyone age 1 and above, and you must be with a child to enter. We got there when it opened on Sunday at noon, but had to wait 10 minutes to pay our admission because both families in front of us decided to become members. It took some time... More
