DPK is a great place for younger children. You can touch, push, pull, drag, pick up anything and everything. Most of it is simple eye/hand coordination stuff. Older elementary students may not like it because it has low cognitive challenges.

Recommend this place to anyone looking to spend an hour or two with preschool age kids. This place is very similar to Edventure in Columbia both in size and activities. Admission was $10 for both kids or adults, not the best bargain around but reasonable considering numerous activities for young children. Its located about 15 minutes outside of Charlotte, and... Our granddaughters love this place, and so do we! There are so many different areas for children to use imaginative play: on a tractor, a submarine, a kitchen, a garden, a medical clinic, a boat...to name just a few. There are areas where kids can climb, slide, dress-up, and play in water. Plan on spending several hours here. The areas... More

How in the world have I lived in the Carolinas all these years and not known about this museum? We went with a group of friends with little kids and had a fantastic day. There is so much to do, the $10 fee per person is not at all out of line. Our group played till they dropped!

Plenty to see and do! Interesting for adults as well. Loved it! The hands on exhibits make it well worth it. It helps to teach sciencce in a creative way.

I took my 6, 4 and 2 year old there, and they absolutely love it. There were lots of different areas to explores. A huge water tray, fire engine, pet area, grocery store, trains, airplane, under water area, craft area. It was just a fun day out. We will defiantly be going back soon.

My 5 yo boy and I love going here about once a month. We have learned to slow down and take in each play/learning station. Parking is easy and free every time we've been. Its a short walk to the building. The Lobby is even fun. The man that usually checks us in is great and interacts with All. Our... More
