Traveled with 5 friends and decided to try Hot Springs. Was relaxing and enjoyable. Different from what I expected. Basically a big outdoor hot tub filled with the hot springs water. Temperature is excellent about 100 degrees. Smells a little bit of the sulfer. Has cool mists above if you get to hot. We went in the big tub that... More

Since we live within 30 miles of Hot Springs we decided to go last week and enjoy a tub visit. We ended up getting a different tub and was not bad. Everyone there is very nice and friendly and that's a plus. The only drawback was to go in the summer in the day time. Whew!! You talk about hott...... More

This was our third trip to Hot Springs Spa. I had a massage before we went to the tub. That's the way to go! Relax and then chill. The tub, while rustic, feels great and we had a great view of the river. It's private and relaxing. My only complaint is the time passes too fast! The rock formation on... More

We visited the Hot Springs Resort and Spa today and enjoyed the mineral springs. The area is peaceful and secluded, and the hot tubs are clean. You can spend an hour in the hot tub which is full of mineral springs water for $15 per person. That is very reasonable. It is well worth a visit.

Like stepping back in history. Grounds have a few ruins. The mineral water was so nice and relaxing. We were in the bathhouse. Call for a reservation because they were surprisingly busy for late Sunday night. The front staff were excellent..

Tub # 5 is our favorite at the Spa. It sits on the land at the joining of Spring Creek and the French Broad River with views of the kayakers and rafters heading downstream. The tubs are clean, emptied after each party. You can take along some snacks and your favorite libations. All of the tubs are new and have... More

I gave the Hot Springs Spa another try after another section hike of the Appalachian Trail – Allen Gap to Hot Springs. This was a much more pleasant experience. I did not book ahead because I did not know what time I would come off the AT. I walked in and was given a choice of three hot tubs. I... More

We've been coming here for years to enjoy the soak and scenery and to relax. This past visit was disappointing - the pools weren't as clean as they have been in the past and it was sooo crowded there was no room in the locker room to even sit to change clothes. No soap in the showers, the hot water... More

I loved the idea of being pampered with massage or body treatments followed by soaking in therapeutic thermal waters coming up from deep within the earth nestled by the raging, beautiful French Broad River. HOWEVER, my preconceived idea of the aesthetics of the place was a far cry from reality. I had envisioned lush gardens surrounding pools of hot water... More

We went here a few weeks back to soak in the natural hot springs. It was WONDERFUL, each tub is very private and right on the river. They are outside and they have small lights at night. We went at 4:30 because you get a better rate before 6. There is a changing house/bathroom for you to put on your... More
